Kylie Minogue Kicks Off Tension Tour With Mallrat

The pop icon returns to Australia with her first tour in over five years, featuring new music and fan favorites.

Kylie Minogue is set to illuminate stages across Australia with her highly anticipated Tension Tour, kicking off on February 15, 2025, at Perth's RAC Arena. The pop icon's return to her home country marks her first Australian tour since 2019, and it has fans eagerly awaiting what promises to be an unforgettable experience.

Joining her for all ten dates on this remarkable tour is the rising indie-pop star Mallrat, who expressed her excitement about the collaboration. “I’m thrilled to be touring with Kylie, a true icon of pop. Can’t wait to bring my music to such a big stage and share it with Kylie’s fans,” Mallrat said. This opportunity aligns perfectly as she prepares to release her new album, Light Hit My Face Like A Straight Right, just the day before the tour's commencement.

The Tension Tour, which encompasses performances across five Australian cities—Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney—will celebrate Kylie Minogue's latest albums, Tension and Tension II. First release tickets for this momentous tour have almost sold out, prompting the issuance of additional tickets to meet the high demand.

This tour is part of Kylie’s ambitious plan to perform globally, with shows scheduled for 69 countries following her Australian leg, concluding in Mexico later this year. She last toured Australia during the Golden Tour back in 2019 and has since made appearances at prominent events, including the Sydney WorldPride mega-festival earlier this year.

Fans have long awaited Kylie’s return to Australian stages, especially after last year's successful Las Vegas residency at The Venetian, marking her first-ever residency, where audience members enjoyed live renditions of her new hits including the viral sensation "Padam Padam." The anticipation surrounding the Tension Tour is palpable, as it signifies not only her return but also her growth as an artist.

Kylie Minogue remarked, "I am beyond excited to announce the TENSION TOUR 2025. I can’t wait to share beautiful and wild moments with fans all over the world, celebrating the Tension era and more!" This statement encapsulates her enthusiasm for reconnecting with her Australians and delivering performances filled with energy and emotion.
