Kuwait's Mubarak Al-Kabeer Educational Zone has unveiled its ambitious strategic plan for the years 2025-2030, which features 15 key projects aimed at enhancing educational outcomes and promoting digital transformation. This comprehensive initiative, presented by acting manager Nida Al-Mutairi, marks a significant leap forward for the region's educational framework.
The plan was announced on February 6, 2025, during a presentation attended by Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, the Governor of the Mubarak Al-Kabeer region, and Mansour Dhafiri, the acting Assistant Undersecretary for General Education. The initiative is not just about reform but is set to redefine how education is delivered across the region.
According to Al-Mutairi, the plan's projects aim to improve educational outcomes, expand digital transformation, and bolster competitiveness within the educational system. "The senior management team embarked on selecting these projects after conducting thorough strategic analysis using three clear methodological tools to assess the educational environment," she noted during her presentation.
Beginning with its inception back in December 2024, the strategic plan has been divided across four primary dimensions: financial performance, operational efficiency, capacity and skill development, along with client-centric goals. This multidimensional approach is intended to create a holistic framework for measuring success and addressing the various challenges faced by the educational sector.
Among the 15 projects, some have already commenced, including the innovative indicators dashboard, which is set to be distributed to supervisors, inspectors, and department heads. Al-Mutairi emphasized the importance of data-driven decision-making, stating, "We have translated all records of the region to numerical data, making it easier for stakeholders to track progress and address any challenges arising during the academic year."
The Mubarak Al-Kabeer Educational Zone encompasses 104 schools and 32 kindergartens, providing education to approximately 45,132 students, including 473 children with special needs. This demographic indicates the vast scope of the educational initiative and its potential impact on the community.
Al-Mutairi's remarks reflect a dedicated effort to align the region's educational strategies with broader government goals for improving public service performance. The governor has requested the complete strategic document, which is detailed and encompasses 185 pages, signaling administrative support for the initiative.
