Kristen Stewart and longtime partner Dylan Meyer say "I do"
Dylan Meyer is celebrating wedded bliss with Kristen Stewart! Four days after the couple tied the knot on Sunday, April 20, Meyer shared photos from their intimate ceremony in a romantic Instagram post. The post began with a touching photo of Meyer wrapping her arms around Stewart as they gazed into each other's eyes. The photo offered a closer look at Meyer's bridal attire: an off-white minidress composed of a sheer top and a satin skirt. The look was paired with black loafers, black socks, and a long black bow wrapped around a ponytail. Stewart added a pop of color by wearing a gray miniskirt and blouse set with a white shirt underneath. She wore her hair down and paired the look with black shoes that matched Meyer's.
In the second image, the couple, who went public with their relationship in 2019 and got engaged in 2021, could be seen sharing a sweet kiss. "I do. I really really really really really do," Meyer captioned the post. As previously reported by PEOPLE, Meyer and Stewart tied the knot at Mexican restaurant Casita Del Campo. The restaurant previously advised its customers on Instagram that it would be closed on Easter Sunday for "a private event day and night." In addition to close family and friends, guests at the wedding ceremony included Ashley Benson and her husband, Brandon Davis, who were spotted wearing matching black outfits. Stewart's Living for the Dead co-creator CJ Romero was also in attendance.
Stewart previously shared during a November 2021 appearance on Sirius XM’s Howard Stern Show that she hoped their wedding would end up being "pretty chill." "I don't want anyone walking anyone down any aisles. We're just going to, like, stand and do vows and f------ party after. It's kind of just a great excuse to get together and say 'I love you' in front of all your friends," she said. She later shared during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in 2022 that the two were also open to being spontaneous on their wedding day. "We might just go do it this weekend or something, I don't know, and then, like, just hang out with everyone afterwards," said Stewart. "I just want to do it, you know? I'm not a good planner. I can't make plans for dinner."
The couple's journey together has been a remarkable one. They first met more than a decade ago, but it wasn't until 2019 that they began dating. Their engagement came in 2021, and now, with the wedding behind them, fans are eager to see what comes next for the happy couple. Rumors are already swirling about a potential honeymoon in the South of France, which would be a fitting getaway for the newlyweds.
Interestingly, the timing of their nuptials coincides with Stewart's career milestone. Her directorial debut, The Chronology of Water, has been selected to premiere at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival in the Un Certain Regard section. The festival kicks off on May 13, 2025, and Meyer celebrated the announcement on Instagram, hinting at the exciting times ahead for both of them.
As Stewart and Meyer embark on this new chapter of their lives, it’s worth noting the evolution of Stewart's relationships over the years. After a highly publicized romance with her Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson, which ended amid scandal, Stewart found solace in dating women. In a 2016 interview with Elle UK, she reflected on her past experiences, stating, "When I was dating a guy I was hiding everything that I did because everything personal felt like it was immediately trivialized, so I didn’t like it. We were turned into these characters and placed into this ridiculous comic book, and I was like, ‘That’s mine. You’re making my relationship something that it’s not.’"
Stewart's candidness about her journey has resonated with many, and her relationship with Meyer has been a source of joy. The couple's commitment to each other is evident in their shared ventures, including their production company, Nevermind Pictures.
As the celebration of their love continues, the Twilight universe also sees its share of romantic developments. Robert Pattinson, who played Edward Cullen in the franchise, has been dating Suki Waterhouse since 2018. The couple got engaged towards the end of 2023 and welcomed a baby girl in April 2024, marking a new chapter in their lives as well.
Meanwhile, Taylor Lautner, another Twilight star, married Taylor Dome in November 2022, solidifying his own love story. Nikki Reed, who played Rosalie Hale, has been happily married to Ian Somerhalder since April 2015, and they share two children born in 2017 and 2023.
Ashley Greene, another member of the Twilight cast, got engaged to Paul Khoury in December 2016 and tied the knot on July 6, 2018. They welcomed their daughter, Kingsley Rainn Khoury, on September 16, 2022. Kellan Lutz has been married to Brittany Gonzalez since 2017, and they have two children together.
Jackson Rathbone married Sheila Hafsadi in 2013, and they have three children together. Peter Facinelli, who played Carlisle Cullen, has a blended family with his three daughters from his marriage to Jennie Garth and a son with his fiancée Lily Anne Harrison.
Elizabeth Reaser, who played Esme Cullen, recently married Bruce Gilbert on August 22, 2023, opting for a private ceremony. Rachelle Lefevre, who portrayed Victoria, married chef Chris Crary in 2015 and they share two children.
As the Twilight stars navigate their personal lives, it's clear that love is in the air for many of them. With Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer now officially wed, they join a growing list of happy couples from the franchise. The future looks bright for these stars as they continue to evolve both personally and professionally.
