KPMG Expands AI Partnership With Google Cloud To Transform Business

The collaboration aims to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency across various industries through advanced AI technologies.

KPMG LLP has announced a significant expansion of its strategic collaboration with Google Cloud, aimed at transforming business operations across various sectors, including legal services and banking. This announcement was made on April 11, 2025, during a press release that highlighted the integration of advanced AI technologies to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.

As a key deployment partner for Google Agentspace, KPMG plans to leverage modular, scalable AI solutions to help clients build integrated platforms that effectively manage AI agents. These solutions will utilize Google’s Agentspace, Vertex AI Agent Builder, and Agent Development Kit, marking a pivotal shift in how businesses can harness AI technology.

KPMG Law, a wholly owned subsidiary of KPMG LLP, is set to play a crucial role in this initiative by offering specialized legal services enhanced by AI and KPMG Digital Gateway. The firm aims to assist legal teams in focusing on their core competencies by providing AI-assisted contract review, research, and legal automation services. These innovations are expected to simplify document analysis and compliance checks, thereby streamlining the contract lifecycle management process.

Steve Chase, Vice Chair of AI and Digital Innovation at KPMG LLP, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, "I am excited about how KPMG and Google Cloud are helping clients transform their organizations by harnessing the best of KPMG's functional and industry expertise and Agentspace's cutting-edge technology. We're enabling clients to put the right AI and agent capabilities in place today to create lasting value." This sentiment reflects the broader goal of integrating AI into business processes to enhance productivity and strategic insights.

In the banking sector, KPMG is also increasing its collaboration with Google Cloud to drive AI transformation. A recently launched KPMG commercial lending assistant employs AI agents that utilize KPMG's industry knowledge to facilitate large-scale commercial lending transformation and payment projects. This innovation aims to provide financial services clients with a comprehensive suite of services built on Google Cloud, allowing for secure and efficient data interactions.

Furthermore, KPMG is set to enhance its internal operations by deploying Google Cloud's AI capabilities across its workforce. The integration of Agentspace will allow employees to navigate internal systems more effectively and complete administrative tasks with greater efficiency. This internal deployment is expected to free up valuable time for KPMG professionals to engage more deeply with clients.

As part of this initiative, KPMG will also utilize NotebookLM Enterprise, which aims to reimagine employee learning experiences by consolidating fragmented enterprise knowledge systems into a unified, AI-powered resource. This approach will help employees quickly access firm insights and educational materials, ultimately boosting productivity and accelerating skills development.

The partnership between KPMG and Google Cloud builds on previous successes, where clients across various industries have already benefited from AI solutions. For instance, finance and procurement departments at multinational companies have utilized agents built with Google Cloud's Vertex AI to enhance procurement decisions, improve financial management, and automate operations. KPMG and Google Cloud have also collaborated to assist clients in conducting AI-powered internal audits, which facilitate faster risk identification and anomaly detection.

Rema Serafi, Vice Chair - Tax at KPMG LLP, emphasized the significance of this collaboration, stating, "Our collaboration with Google Cloud represents a significant milestone for KPMG and KPMG Law US. We're using Google Agentspace to develop a platform of specialized legal agents that empower our KPMG Law US professionals to deliver enhanced value." This partnership is not only about leveraging technology but also about redefining the role of legal services in a rapidly evolving landscape.

On the other hand, Oppo has also made headlines by unveiling its vision for Agentic AI during the Google Cloud Next 2025 conference. This new AI paradigm allows systems to autonomously sense their environment, set goals, and learn from feedback, which represents a significant leap in artificial intelligence technology.

At the event, Oppo introduced AI Search, a tool designed to simplify the process of searching through complex documents using natural language queries. This innovation is part of Oppo's broader strategy to enhance AI experiences through a combination of in-house development and partnerships with Google.

Jason Liao, President of the Oppo Research Institute, commented on this shift, stating, "With agentic AI, these systems can autonomously sense their environment, set goals, plan actions, execute tasks, learn from feedback and adjust their behavior to achieve those goals, all with minimal human input." This reflects a growing trend in the tech industry towards more intuitive and responsive AI systems.

Oppo is also focusing on developing a new user knowledge system that aims to centralize data and tackle the issue of fragmented information on mobile devices. This system is designed to learn from users’ actions and interests, providing tailored AI interactions that push the vision of AI-driven operating systems closer to reality.

In addition to its advancements in AI, Oppo recently unveiled the AI Private Computing Cloud, which utilizes Google Cloud's Confidential Computing to create a secure environment for AI data processing. This move underscores Oppo's commitment to enhancing AI security while expanding its user base. By the end of 2025, the company aims to reach 100 million users worldwide, leveraging the power of Oppo AI to transform everyday interactions.

As the landscape of artificial intelligence continues to evolve, both KPMG and Oppo are positioning themselves at the forefront of this technological revolution. Their partnerships with Google Cloud illustrate a broader trend in the industry towards integrating AI into core business operations, enhancing efficiency, and redefining user experiences.

With these advancements, the future of AI appears not only promising but also essential for businesses looking to maintain a competitive edge in an increasingly digital world.
