The head of Kazakhstan's Ministry of Digital Development, Zhaslan Madiev, has addressed the recent failure of the eGov system that occurred on April 1, 2025. Despite the challenges, Madiev clarified that most of eGov's functions remained operational during the incident. He stated, "All other functions of eGov were available and remain available. Everything that depends on the MCCIA and the eGov infrastructure has been restored at this moment." Moving forward, the minister indicated that the government is already planning significant changes to the architecture of the electronic government system. These modifications will include a modernization of the eGov application and updates to the electronic government gateway. Madiev explained, "This will allow the system to withstand increased loads and not become a bottleneck."

He stated, "We see these as rare situations," aiming to instill confidence in the reliability of the eGov system.
