Karnataka 2nd PUC Results 2025 Announced Today

Students await results with new exam format and increased support for underprivileged candidates

The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) is set to announce the Karnataka 2nd PUC Results 2025 today, April 8, 2025, at 12:30 PM. This year, the board has introduced a new examination format for second PUC students, replacing the traditional supplementary examination system with three exams: Exam 1, Exam 2, and Exam 3. This change aims to provide students with multiple opportunities to improve their scores, with the best result from these three exams being considered for their final marks.

The Karnataka 2nd PUC Exam 1 was conducted from March 1 to March 20, 2025, and a total of 7,13,862 students are eagerly awaiting their results. This includes 3,35,468 boys, 3,78,389 girls, and five transgender students. To check their results, students will need to visit the official websites, karresults.nic.in or kseab.karnataka.gov.in, and enter their roll number, registration number, and captcha code. It’s important to note that the results released online will be provisional, and students will need to collect their original marksheets from their respective schools later.

Last year, in 2024, a total of 6,81,079 students appeared for the Karnataka board PUC 2 exams, with 5,52,690 passing, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 81.15%. This statistic serves as a benchmark for comparing this year’s performance. The results for the previous years were announced on April 10 in 2024 and April 21 in 2023, highlighting a consistent timeline for result declarations.

In addition to the examination changes, the Karnataka government has also increased the incentive funds for SC and ST candidates studying in national institutes from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2 lakh. Furthermore, students from these communities who score over 95% in the PUC examination and secure a management quota seat in MBBS through the NEET entrance exam will receive a one-time aid of Rs 25 lakh. This initiative aims to enhance educational achievements among students from scheduled communities.

The KSEAB has adopted an 80+20 model for the PUC II exams, where 80 marks are allotted for the written exam and 20 marks for internal assessments. This model is designed to create a balanced evaluation system that reflects both theoretical knowledge and continuous assessment.

Security measures for the examination period included the deployment of 2,342 local vigilance squads across 1,171 exam centers throughout the state, ensuring a fair and secure testing environment. A total of 31,000 assessors were tasked with evaluating the answer sheets at 76 centers. This level of oversight reflects the board's commitment to maintaining the integrity of the examination process.

As the results are set to be announced, students are advised to be prepared for potential website slowdowns due to heavy traffic immediately following the announcement. They should also ensure they have all necessary documentation organized and readily accessible. The KSEAB website remains the official source for all result-related notifications and updates, and students are encouraged to avoid unverified sources that may spread misinformation during this critical period.

For those who are not satisfied with their results, KSEAB will hold Exam 2 and Exam 3 for students who did not pass Exam 1. The schedule for these subsequent exams is likely to be released soon after the initial results are announced. Students who missed the first exam due to extreme circumstances may also be granted another opportunity to take the exam.

To pass the Karnataka 2nd PUC examination, students must secure a minimum of 35% marks in each subject, which includes both theory and practical components. Specifically, they need to obtain at least 25 marks in the theory section and 11 marks in the practical exam.

As the clock ticks down to the announcement, students are filled with a mix of excitement and anxiety. The results will be declared during a press conference led by the Karnataka Minister for School Education and Literacy, ensuring transparency and formal communication of the outcomes. Following the press briefing, the digital marksheets are expected to be available around 1:30 PM, allowing students to view and download their scores.

In summary, the Karnataka 2nd PUC Results 2025 are highly anticipated, marking a significant milestone for students as they navigate their academic journeys. With the introduction of a new examination format and increased government support for underprivileged students, this year’s results could set a new standard for educational outcomes in the state.
