In a much-anticipated twist for fans of the popular dance competition show, Kamel Ouali made a special appearance as an additional judge on the April 28, 2023, episode of Danse avec les stars. This prime-time event, broadcast on TF1, saw Ouali joining established judges Chris Marques, Fauve Hautot, Mel Charlot, and Jean-Marc Généreux, adding an exciting dynamic to the evening.

While he has not been officially approached for a permanent role, Ouali remains open to future opportunities. "I’m waiting for proposals, and then I’ll make my decision. I apply this to Star Ac, my heart's show. If one day I were to do it again, I would be very happy, but again, it's a matter of timing," he said.
During the special episode, titled La bataille des juges, each judge was set to dance alongside two couples, showcasing their skills under Ouali's watchful eye. The lineup included Mel Charlot dancing with Adil Rami and Ana Riera, as well as Julie Zenatti and Adrien Caby.
