Veiga was thrust into the lineup following another injury, this time to Pierre Kalulu, with manager Thiago Motta seeking a quick solution to his defensive crisis. Veiga made a notable impact during his introduction, showcasing solid performances alongside teammate Federico Gatti. The ambitious plan seemed to include pursuing an extended agreement with Chelsea, which would allow Juve to keep the young defender beyond his original six-month loan period.
Unfortunately for both Veiga and Juventus, his momentum was abruptly halted by a muscle injury sustained in a critical second leg against PSV Eindhoven during the Champions League playoff round. After making his return to the pitch in a match against Fiorentina, Juventus endured a disappointing outing, losing 3-0 to Fiorentina, a game where Veiga struggled to find his footing amidst an underwhelming team performance.

They are no longer interested in retaining Veiga and are preparing for his return to Chelsea at the season's end. The report indicates a strategic pivot back to players already on their books, notably the expected activation of an option to purchase Kalulu from AC Milan for an estimated fee under 20 million euros.
As Juventus evaluates its defensive options, Bremer is anticipated to return to full fitness soon. His return will provide a significant boost to a squad that has been navigating through injury troubles. Additionally, there is an obligation on Juventus' part to buy Lloyd Kelly contingent upon securing qualification for any European competition, further affecting their summer transfer strategy.
