Jonathan, the family restaurant chain operated by Skylark Group, is introducing its "Spring Table" fair starting February 27, 2025, featuring delightful dishes made with seasonal spring vegetables and introducing six delectable desserts made with Häagen-Dazs strawberry ice cream. Scheduled to run until April 16, 2025, this limited-time offering has already generated excitement among food enthusiasts.
The "Spring Table" fair showcases inventive seasonal dishes, including Kagoshima black pork paired with seasonal vegetables, omu-doria—a delightful blend of baked rice and eggs—and clam rice bowls. Among the standout items is the steaming set meal of Kagoshima black pork with seasonal vegetables such as nanohana (rapeseed) and bamboo shoots, served with two types of sauces: yuzu ponzu and sweet-spicy chili miso sauce. Priced at ¥1,759 (including tax), this dish is poised to be one of the most popular offerings.
Another highlight is the "Spring Color Sakura Masu Omu-doria," showcasing the delicate flavor of sakura masu (cherry salmon) baked with white sauce and eggs, allowing diners to enjoy both omelet and baked rice dish for ¥1,099 (tax included).
Fresh salads are also on the menu, with the "Nanohana Mimosa Salad" made from rapeseed flowers. Named for its resemblance to the blooming mimosa flowers, this inventive salad is priced at ¥395 (including tax).
For those seeking something more hearty, Jonathan presents the "Chicken White Soup Chowder Ramen," featuring abundant vegetables simmered with chicken white soup, and priced at ¥1,099. There's also the "Sakura Masu and Hon Maguro Yukke Style Bowl," consisting of sweet and spicy gochujang sauce draped over cherry salmon and hon maguro (bluefin tuna), offered at ¥1,539 (including tax).
A complementing side dish, the "Garlic Butter Grilled Bamboo Shoot and Nanohana" is available for ¥439, blending the flavors of spring vegetables with rich garlic butter soy sauce.
But it doesn’t stop there! The collaboration with Häagen-Dazs marks the first time Jonathan incorporates these premium ice cream products, promising customers six unique strawberry sweets during the fair. The "Häagen-Dazs Strawberry Parfait DX" towers over 30 cm high, decorated with fresh strawberries and layered with Häagen-Dazs strawberry ice cream for ¥1,649.
Another famous treat, the "Häagen-Dazs and Strawberry Jonathan Parfait," garnished with heart-shaped strawberries and containing layers of Häagen-Dazs strawberry ice cream, is available for ¥989.
Jessica Nakashima, the PR Manager for Jonathan, stated, "We are excited to bring our customers the tastes of spring along with the luxury of Häagen-Dazs desserts, providing not just meals, but joyful experiences!"
Each store will participate, but some may vary slightly in offerings and pricing based on location. To enjoy the full range of offerings, customers are encouraged to visit during the fair, keeping the morning hours from 10:30 AM onwards as non-service hours for these menu items.
Jonathan's emphasis on utilizing locally sourced ingredients and seasonal produce is expected to resonate with health-conscious diners, making the "Spring Table" fair not just a meal, but also an experience connecting them to the changing seasons.
The fair is part of Jonathan's strategy to revitalize its menu and attract guests during the spring season, which typically sees increased dining out. The restaurant chain anticipates high turnout as the weather warms and people seek refreshing, seasonal flavors.
