Residents can honor heroes by sharing their stories and photos online

Residents of the Ryazan region are invited to participate in the patriotic action "Immortal Regiment of Russia Online," which is timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. This annual federal initiative aims to commemorate the heroism and selflessness of those who fought for the freedom and independence of the country.

The "Immortal Regiment" is not just an event; it is a tribute to the memory of all those who gave their lives for victory. This year, the event will take place online, allowing anyone interested to join the procession from the comfort of their homes.

The Ministry of Territorial Policy of the Ryazan Region has announced the start of accepting applications for participation in the action. To become part of the "Immortal Regiment," participants need to submit an application by uploading photos of their front-line relatives to the official project website or through mini-applications on VKontakte and Odnoklassniki.

Applications will be accepted until May 6, 2025. This year, there is also a unique opportunity to restore and colorize photographs of veterans, giving them a fresh and vibrant look.

The online procession of the "Immortal Regiment" will take place on May 9 on the official project website. This is a unique opportunity to unite with thousands of people across the country and honor the memory of the heroes who defended our freedom. Don’t miss the chance to be part of history!

Join the "Immortal Regiment of Russia Online" and share your heroes with the world. Upload their photographs, tell their stories, and together we will create a powerful stream of memory that will unite us on this important day.

In honor of Victory Day, the All-Russian action "Immortal Regiment of Russia Online" will be held on the Internet starting from April 23, 2025. Anyone can participate by posting a photo and information about a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, a home front worker, or anyone who fought for the Motherland.

Applications for participation in the online procession will also be accepted until May 6. Participants can upload photos of the victors on the website of the Immortal Regiment of Russia and through the VKontakte and Odnoklassniki applications. This year, for the first time, there is a possibility to restore and colorize the veteran's photo and share information about them on social networks.

The online procession will take place on May 9 on the project website, creating a platform for collective remembrance.

The "Immortal Regiment Online" campaign has officially begun in Russia. Anyone interested can take part in this significant event. Applications for participation can be submitted from April 23, 2025, to May 6, through the website 2025.polkrf.ru or in mini-applications on VKontakte.

The procession will be broadcast across various platforms, including the Internet, television channels, and media screens, ensuring that the memories of these heroes reach a wide audience.

During a press conference in Moscow, Sergey Makarov, co-chairman of the Central Headquarters of the "Immortal Regiment of Russia," emphasized the importance of this initiative: "To create the opportunity to see all those who ensured this Great Victory, we are launching the 'Immortal Regiment Online.' This format allows residents from every corner of our country, and even those celebrating May 9 abroad, to honor their family heroes. Not every region will have the chance to hold a traditional procession, and for some, the online format will provide a way to pay tribute to their family hero."

The project will allow everyone to post portraits of the veterans they honor in their families, enabling them to march alongside their grandfathers and great-grandfathers in a virtual formation.

Applications can be submitted from April 23 to May 6 on the website 2025.polkrf.ru or through VKontakte mini-applications. Participants can also check the status of their applications there. If there are any issues, such as a mistake in the spelling of a name or an improperly cropped photo, the application can be sent back for revision.

Natalya Shadrina, head of the executive committee of the "Immortal Regiment of Russia," encouraged participants to upload photos of their heroes without frames, additional decorations, or inscriptions. She advised that when selecting a photo, preference should be given to those taken during the war years.

Importantly, Shadrina reassured potential participants that not having a photo of their hero would not prevent them from joining the "Immortal Regiment Online." They can still fill out any available data, such as the hero's last name, first name, and years of life, and their hero will also be included in the online procession.

This initiative not only honors those who fought bravely but also connects families and communities in a shared remembrance of their sacrifices. As the date approaches, the excitement and anticipation continue to build, with many eager to share their stories and memories.

As the online procession approaches, the call to action is clear: join the "Immortal Regiment of Russia Online" and ensure that the memories of those who fought for freedom are preserved and honored for generations to come.
