JKBOSE Declares Class 12 Results With 74.8% Pass Rate

Students can access results online or via SMS as board ensures transparency and accessibility.

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has officially declared the Class 12 results for the 2025 academic year today, April 30, 2025. Students who participated in the annual board examinations can now access their results through the official website, jkresults.nic.in, or via SMS by sending "JKBOSE12" followed by their roll number to 5676750. This year, the board has ensured that results are available simultaneously for both regions, enhancing accessibility for students across Jammu and Kashmir.

The Class 12 examinations were conducted in February and March, with students in both soft zones and hard zones participating. Specifically, the exams for the soft zone took place from February 15 to March 17, while those for the hard zone were held from February 20 to March 24. With the results now released, students can check their scores and download provisional mark sheets for future academic or career-related use.

  2. Click on the "Results" link on the homepage.

  3. Enter your roll number in the designated field.

  4. Click on Submit to view your result.

For SMS access, students should type "JKBOSE12 [Roll Number]" and send it to 5676750. The result will be delivered directly to the sender's mobile phone.

In terms of performance, the overall pass percentage for Class 12 results stands at 74.8%. A total of 1,03,308 students appeared for the exams, and out of these, 77,311 students successfully passed. Notably, girls outperformed boys, achieving a pass percentage of 77.72%, compared to 71.95% for boys. This trend of female students excelling in board examinations continues, reflecting their strong performance across various streams.

To pass the Class 12 board exams, students must obtain a minimum of 33 percent marks in each subject. Those who fail to meet the required marks will be eligible to appear for compartment examinations, the details of which will be announced by JKBOSE in the coming days. The re-evaluation fee is ₹495 per paper, and students must have secured at least 20% marks in the subject they wish to have re-evaluated.
