The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has officially released the Class 12 board exam results for the academic year 2024-25 on April 30, 2025. Students across Jammu and Kashmir can now check their scores online at the official websites jkbose.nic.in and jkresults.nic.in. To access their results, students need to log in using their roll number and registration number, as stated on their admit cards.
This year, a total of 1,03,308 students appeared for the JKBOSE Class 12 board exams, with 77,311 students successfully passing, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 74.8%. Notably, girls outperformed boys, achieving a pass percentage of 77.72%, while boys recorded a pass rate of 71.95%. This trend continues as female students maintain a stronger performance across most streams.
For the 2025 examinations, the Class 12 exams for soft zones were conducted from February 15 to March 17, while students in hard zones took their exams from February 20 to March 20. Students must score at least 33% in English and 36% in other subjects to pass the exam. For those who did not meet the passing criteria, supplementary exams will be offered.
Last year, the JKBOSE Class 12 results were released on June 6, with an overall pass percentage of 74%. Girls again outperformed boys, achieving a pass percentage of 77% compared to boys' 72%. Approximately 25,000 students secured distinctions in 2024, showcasing a consistent trend of high achievers.
To check their results, students can follow these simple steps: visit the JKBOSE official website, click on the link for the Class 12 results, enter their roll number and registration number, and submit the details. Their result will be displayed on the screen, which they can then download and save for future reference.
In addition to online access, students will also be able to view their results through the DigiLocker platform. However, it is important to note that the online scorecard is provisional, and students must collect their original mark sheets from their respective schools a few days after the online announcement.
The JKBOSE has also provided options for students who wish to contest their results. Those dissatisfied with their marks can apply for re-evaluation of their answer sheets. To qualify for re-evaluation, students must have secured at least 20% marks in the subject they wish to contest.
This year, the division-wise results have been notable as well: 30,622 students earned distinctions, 36,311 secured first division, 10,304 achieved second division, and 74 received third division. However, 25,027 students will need to reappear for one or more subjects.
As the results are announced, students are encouraged to verify their mark sheets for accuracy, ensuring all details such as their name, roll number, registration number, and subject-wise marks are correct. The board emphasizes that the online mark sheets are not official documents and should be treated as provisional until the hard copies are issued.
The JKBOSE Class 12 results are a significant milestone for students in the region, marking the culmination of their hard work over the academic year. The board has expressed its commitment to providing a fair and transparent evaluation process, ensuring that all students receive their due recognition based on their performance.
