Rajasthan leads with seven toppers as NTA announces results for nearly one million candidates

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially declared the JEE Main 2025 Session 2 results, much to the anticipation of nearly one million candidates. The results, which were released on April 19, 2025, can be accessed on the official NTA website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. Students can check their scorecards by entering their application number and password, which is a straightforward process that many have been eagerly awaiting since the exam.

The JEE Main 2025 Session 2 exam was conducted from April 2 to April 9, 2025. Paper 1 for B.E/B.Tech was held in multiple shifts across these days, while Paper 2 for B.Arch took place on April 9. The NTA had previously released the final answer key on April 17, which was crucial for candidates to evaluate their performance based on the official standards. This year, a total of 24 candidates achieved a perfect score of 100 percentile, showcasing exceptional talent and preparation.

Among the top scorers, Rajasthan led the pack with seven students achieving the highest marks, while Maharashtra, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh each contributed three toppers. Delhi, Gujarat, and West Bengal had two each, and Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka each had one. This distribution highlights the competitive nature of the exam and the diverse talent pool across various states.

In total, 992,350 candidates registered for the JEE Main 2025 Session 2, with 681,871 being female candidates and 310,479 male candidates. The General category saw the highest number of registrations, followed closely by OBC, EWS, SC, and ST categories. This year's examination was conducted at 531 centers located in 285 cities across India and 15 cities outside the country, reflecting the extensive reach of the JEE Main.

As the results were released, the NTA also provided detailed information regarding the category-wise cut-offs. For instance, the cut-off for the General category was set at 93.1023262, while it was significantly lower for the Persons with Disabilities category at just 0.0079349. These cut-offs are critical as they determine eligibility for further examinations and admissions into prestigious institutions.

Following the release of the results, candidates who qualify will have the opportunity to register for JEE Advanced 2025, which is the next step for those aiming to secure a spot in the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The top 2.5 lakh candidates from the JEE Main will be eligible to appear for this exam, making it a pivotal moment in their academic careers.

In addition to the results, the NTA has released a list of top performers, which includes not only the overall toppers but also highlights female candidates who excelled in this year's exam. The inclusion of female toppers is a positive sign of increasing gender diversity in the field of engineering and technology.

To check the results, candidates need to follow these steps: visit the official website, click on the JEE Main Session 2 result link, enter their application number and password, and submit the information to view their scorecard. It is advisable for candidates to download and save their results for future reference, especially as they prepare for the subsequent stages of the admission process.

For those who encountered difficulties or had questions regarding their performance, the NTA has emphasized that no further objections will be entertained once the final answer key is released. This policy aims to maintain transparency and fairness in the evaluation process.

As the dust settles on the JEE Main 2025 results, students are now turning their attention to the upcoming counselling process, which is expected to begin in June 2025. This phase will be crucial for candidates as they select their preferred engineering colleges based on their ranks and scores. The counselling process will be conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA), and candidates are encouraged to stay updated on the latest developments to ensure they don't miss any important deadlines.

In conclusion, the successful declaration of the JEE Main 2025 Session 2 results marks a significant milestone for engineering aspirants across India. With the examination's competitive nature and the high stakes involved, students are now looking ahead to the next steps in their academic journeys, filled with hope and determination.
