JEE Main 2025 Session 2 Results Announced Today

Candidates can check their scores and download scorecards from the official NTA website as anticipation builds.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is poised to announce the results for the JEE Main 2025 Session 2 Paper 1 today, April 17, 2025. This announcement comes as over 12.5 lakh students and their parents await eagerly to check their scores and download their scorecards from the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.

The JEE Main 2025 Session 2 examinations were conducted over multiple days, specifically on April 2, 3, 4, 7, and 8, for the BE/BTech (Paper 1) category. The BArch/BPlanning (Paper 2) exam took place on April 9, 2025. This year, the tests were administered across 531 centres located in 285 cities throughout India and 15 cities abroad, showcasing the vast scale of this examination.

On April 10, the NTA released the provisional answer key, a critical document that allows students to gauge their performance. Candidates were given the opportunity to raise objections against the answer key until April 13, 2025, by submitting a non-refundable fee of ₹200 per question. The agency has assured that valid objections will be reviewed by experts, and if deemed correct, the final answer key will be adjusted accordingly.

For students eager to check their results, the process is straightforward. Candidates can follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official NTA website: jeemain.nta.nic.in.

  2. Click on the link labeled “JEE Main 2025 Result”.

  3. Log in using your application number and date of birth.

  4. Your result will be displayed on the screen.

  5. Download and save the scorecard for future reference.

Once the results are released, the NTA will also publish a rank list based on the scores, which will determine eligibility for the JEE Advanced 2025. Only the top 2.5 lakh rankers from JEE Main will qualify to sit for this next stage of examinations, scheduled for June 2025.

Furthermore, those aiming for admissions into National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other Government Funded Technical Institutions (GFTIs) will need to participate in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling process, which is expected to commence in June 2025.

In the previous session, JEE Main 2025 Session 1, 14 candidates achieved a perfect 100 percentile score. Among these top scorers, 13 were male and one was female, hailing from various states including Rajasthan, Karnataka, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. This impressive performance sets a high bar for students in the current session.

Despite the anticipation surrounding the results, the release of the provisional answer key was not without controversy. Several students expressed frustration over alleged errors in the key, prompting the NTA to remind candidates that the final results will only be based on the revised key after all objections have been thoroughly reviewed. The agency emphasized its commitment to a transparent examination process and the fairness of the answer key challenge system.

As students await their results, many are left to ponder their next steps. Those who secure qualifying ranks for JEE Advanced must now intensify their preparations for this highly competitive examination. Meanwhile, those who do not qualify can explore alternative engineering colleges through state-level counselling processes.

The attendance rate for the JEE Main 2025 Session 2 exam stood impressively at 95.93%, reflecting the high level of interest among students in pursuing engineering careers. The sheer number of candidates—over 12.5 lakh—underscores the significance of the JEE as a gateway to some of the most prestigious engineering institutions in India.

In summary, the NTA is set to announce the JEE Main 2025 Session 2 results today, a pivotal moment for thousands of aspiring engineers. As the clock ticks down to the announcement, students are reminded to check the official website for the most accurate and timely information regarding their scores and the next steps in their academic journeys.
