JEE Main 2025 Session 2 City Intimation Slip Released Soon

Candidates can check their exam locations ahead of the tests scheduled for April 2 to 9, 2025.

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 Session 2 is right around the corner, with exams scheduled from April 2 to April 9, 2025. To facilitate candidates as they prepare for this pivotal exam, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the upcoming release of the city intimation slip. This essential document will inform candidates about their assigned exam centers, allowing them to finalize travel plans well in advance.

Registered candidates can expect to access their JEE Main 2025 city intimation slip by visiting the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The slip is typically made available about 10 days prior to the examination dates, which this year has been confirmed for April 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, and 9. Notably, Paper 1 will take place during the first five days, covering disciplines for Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and Bachelor of Technology (BTech), with Paper 2 focused on Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) and Bachelor of Planning (BPlanning) occurring on the final day.

As per NTA guidelines, candidates will need their application number and date of birth to retrieve the city slip. Once the document is released, students can follow these steps to download it:

  • Visit the official JEE Main site at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

  • Locate the link for downloading the session 2 exam city intimation slip.

  • Input your application number and date of birth in the provided fields.

  • Submit the information and download the city slip once it appears on the screen.

While the city slip is a vital part of candidates’ preparations, it is important to note that it does not serve as an entry pass to the exam venue. For actual entrance, candidates must have their admit cards, which provide detailed information including the exact location and timing for their exams.

As stated in a recent report by the NTA, "The exam city slip will be released to facilitate candidates in planning their journey to exam centers." Emphasizing the importance of this document, they reiterated, "Candidates should remember that the city slip is different from admit cards, which contain specific details about the exam venue."

User engagement is at an all-time high, with over 1.3 million candidates registered for the January session alone. This number illustrates the fierce competition among aspiring students aiming to secure a place in India's prestigious engineering institutions such as IITs and NITs.

The JEE Main offers two sessions each year—January and April—and is crucial for admissions into numerous engineering colleges across India. The scheduled dates confirm that Paper 1 will comprise two shifts each day, with the morning shift from 9 AM to 12 Noon and the afternoon shift from 3 PM to 6 PM. Paper 2, held on April 9, will be conducted in a single morning shift.

As students make preparations, it is essential to have all required documentation ready. The final admission ticket will be issued three days before the exam date—expected on March 29—and it is imperative that all aspirants ensure their information is accurate and updated in their application.

In case candidates experience any issues with downloading the city slip or admitting card, they are encouraged to reach out to the NTA via their helpline at 011-40759000 or email at [email protected].

For those eager to succeed, many online resources, including mock tests and preparation materials tailored for JEE Main, are available. This preparation is invaluable, especially given that JEE Main is known for its rigorous standards and challenging exam format focused on Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Best of luck to all candidates as they gear up for this significant assessment!
