JEE Main 2025 Session 2 Admit Card Released

Candidates can download their admit cards for the April exams from the official NTA website

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the admit card for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 Session 2, which is scheduled to take place from April 2 to 9, 2025. Candidates can now download their admit cards from the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in, using their application number and date of birth.

The JEE Main 2025 Session 2 exam will be conducted over several days, specifically on April 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, and 9. According to the latest schedule, the exams will occur in two shifts: the morning shift from 9 AM to 12 noon and the afternoon shift from 3 PM to 6 PM. Notably, on April 8, the exam will only be held in the evening shift.

As part of the examination process, candidates must arrive at the exam center at least one hour before the exam begins. This means that for the morning shift, entry will be allowed until 8:30 AM, and for the afternoon shift, entry will close at 2:30 PM. Candidates who arrive late will not be permitted to enter the exam hall.

The JEE Main 2025 has undergone some changes in its examination pattern. The revised format indicates that Section B will now consist solely of compulsory questions, eliminating the optional questions that were previously included. Each subject will now feature five compulsory questions, ensuring that candidates must prepare thoroughly across all topics.

The JEE Main 2025 will consist of three papers: Paper 1 for B.Tech and B.E., Paper 2A for B.Arch, and Paper 2B for B.Planning. Paper 1 will include 75 multiple-choice questions and will carry a total of 300 marks. Paper 2A will consist of 77 questions and will have a maximum score of 400 marks. The exam will be available in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

For candidates to successfully download their admit cards, they must follow these steps:


  1. Visit the official website: jeemain.nta.nic.in.

  2. Click on the JEE Main 2025 Session 2 admit card link on the homepage.

  3. A new page will open where you need to enter your application number and date of birth.

  4. Click Submit.

  5. Your admit card will be displayed on the screen. Download and print it for future reference.

It is vital for candidates to verify all details on their admit cards, including their name, exam center, exam date, roll number, and other essential information. In addition to the admit card, candidates must bring a valid photo ID and a recent passport-size photograph to the examination center. The photograph will be affixed to the attendance sheet at the exam venue.

The JEE Main 2025 Session 2 is a critical examination for aspiring engineering students, as it opens the door to numerous prestigious institutes across India. This year, 31 National Institutes of Technology (NITs) are offering a total of 23,506 seats, while 23 Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) provide 5,643 seats, and 20 Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) offer 5,620 seats.

Reservations are in place for various categories: Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) have a 27% reservation, Scheduled Castes (SC) have 15%, Scheduled Tribes (ST) have 7.5%, and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) with 40% or more disability have a 5% reservation.

The JEE Main 2025 cut-off will be determined based on the exam's difficulty level, the number of candidates, and trends from previous years. Last year, the cut-off for the general category was 93.2362181, while for SC it was 60.0923182, and for ST, it was 46.6975840.

As the exam dates approach, candidates are encouraged to stay updated on any further announcements from the NTA regarding the JEE Main 2025 Session 2. This includes potential changes in exam dates for those facing conflicts with their Class 12 board exams.
