JEE Main 2025 Answer Key And Response Sheet Released

National Testing Agency provides candidates with response sheets and answer keys for evaluating exam performance.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the answer key and response sheet for the JEE Main 2025 Session 1 on February 4, 2025, enabling candidates to evaluate their performance from the recently concluded examination.

Conducted from January 22 to 30, 2025, the JEE Main exam is one of the primary gateways for aspiring engineering students to gain admission to various prestigious institutions across India, including the IITs, NITs, and IIITs.

Candidates can now access their individual response sheets and the provisional answer key on the NTA’s official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. To download their materials, candidates need to use their application numbers and birth dates as login credentials. The response sheets are accessible only to those who appeared for the exam and will serve as a valuable tool for candidates to check their marked answers against the official correct answers provided by NTA.

The NTA has stated, “The NTA will display the Provisional Answer Key of the questions on the NTA website... to provide an opportunity to the candidates to challenge the Provisional Answer Keys with a non-refundable online payment of Rs 200/- per question challenged as processing charges.” Candidates must submit their objections by February 6, 2025, up to 11:50 PM. Any discrepancies identified within the answer key can be contested, allowing for fairness and transparency within the examination process.

Once candidates log onto the official portal, they will see the option to download the response sheet. The process involves clicking on the link titled “JEE(Main) 2025 Session-1 Answer Key Challenge,” inputting their credentials, and reviewing the downloadable PDF format of their response sheet. The procedure is simplified below for clarity:

  • Step 1: Visit the NTA JEE Main official website.

  • Step 2: Click on the appropriate response sheet and answer key link.

  • Step 3: Enter your application number and password to log in.

  • Step 4: Download your response sheet and provisional answer key.

Reports indicate the results for the JEE Main 2025 Session 1 are expected to be declared on February 12, 2025. The results will display candidates’ scores, percentiles, and other important information, determining their future pathways.

Knowing the importance of the response sheet, it provides candidates with several advantages:

  • Verification of Recorded Responses: Candidates can examine their selected answers, checking for errors made during the exam.

  • Score Estimation: By comparing answers against the provisional key, candidates can estimate their scores even before the official results are declared.

  • Chance to File Objections: Any noticeable mistakes or inconsistencies can be raised during the objection period.

  • Understanding Performance: This evaluation aids candidates to assess their strengths and weaknesses.

  • Future Session Preparation: Insights from the response sheet can help strategize for upcoming sessions.

Following the completion of the Session 1, preparations for the JEE Main Session 2 are already underway, with exam dates scheduled from April 1 to 8, 2025. Similar to Session 1, candidates will undergo scrutiny to achieve the necessary percentiles to qualify for the JEE Advanced examination.

For those aspiring to secure places at reputable engineering colleges, the JEE Main 2025 serves as their gateway. The NTA has made considerable efforts to maintain the integrity and reliability of the assessment process, providing candidates with periodic updates throughout the examination phases.

It’s important for students to stay informed about any changes and developments by frequently checking the NTA’s website. The system minimizes uncertainty and enhances the trust candidates have during the evaluation period.

Despite the pressures of examination periods, the timely release of the answer key and the provision to challenge it allows candidates to have faith in the integrity of their results.

The NTA is also expected to provide thorough updates on other operational details, including how candidates can prepare for the following sessions, ensuring they have all the necessary tools at their disposal for future success.
