Jason Statham Returns In A Working Man Thrilling Release

The conspiracy thriller showcases a father's desperate return to danger after a young girl's disappearance.

Jason Statham is gearing up for the release of his latest movie, A Working Man, which has just unveiled an official poster ahead of its much-anticipated launch on March 28, 2025. Following his recent stint in The Beekeeper, Statham reconnects with esteemed director David Ayer for this new conspiracy thriller.

The plot revolves around Levon Cade, portrayed by Statham, who initially steps away from his former career to take on construction work, aiming to become a better father. However, when a young girl mysteriously vanishes, Cade finds himself drawn back into the dangerous life he once abandoned.

Alongside Statham, the film features talented actors such as Michael Peña and David Harbour, with action legend Sylvester Stallone credited for penning the screenplay. Notably, A Working Man will initially hit theaters exclusively, postponing its arrival on streaming platforms until a later date.

The excitement around A Working Man comes on the heels of Ayer and Statham's previous collaboration, The Beekeeper, which was successful enough to warrant a sequel. However, fans were recently informed that Ayer would not be returning to direct The Beekeeper 2, with the project now led by Timo Tjahjanto instead. This change follows Ayer's commitment to another project, Heart of the Beast, which stars Brad Pitt.

In discussing his work with Collider, Ayer expressed that his involvement with Heart of the Beast is the primary reason for stepping away from The Beekeeper 2. Production for both films is expected to kick off within the next few months, highlighting Ayer's busy schedule in the film industry.

Meanwhile, Statham continues to keep a strong foothold in the action genre. Earlier this year, he reprised his beloved role as Deckard Shaw in Fast X, the latest installment of the popular Fast & Furious franchise. Fans can expect to see him take on an even larger role in Fast X: Part Two, which is slated to begin filming in Los Angeles in the summer of 2025, according to Hollywood star Vin Diesel.

Statham has been embodying the character of Deckard Shaw since his debut in 2013, contributing to an extensive legacy of five films in the franchise to date. Additionally, he is also attached to star in a potential sequel, Hobbs & Shaw 2. Although screenwriter Chris Morgan has indicated progress on scripts for the project, there have been no notable developments reported recently.

As A Working Man approaches its release date, fans can anticipate an engaging storyline tightly woven with action and suspense, coupled with Ayer's signature directorial style. The film promises to be another exciting addition to Statham’s filmography, once again demonstrating his versatility and expertise in action-packed narratives.

With its release just around the corner, avid moviegoers can keep an eye on the film's promotions and updates from Collider for more detailed coverage as the launch draws near.
