Following the approval of a resolution by the Italian Chamber of Deputies, which mandates the government to provide meal vouchers for school personnel, unions like ANIEF have mobilized. Marcello Pacifico, the president of ANIEF, has already proposed meal vouchers worth €12-13 per day for educational staff, citing the disparity between their treatment and other public employees.
This resolution highlights the roles of ATA staff—support personnel who assist teachers, students, and families—underscoring their valued contributions within schools. ANIEF is adamant about including meal vouchers for all school staff, especially those lacking access to canteen services, as negotiations advance to renew the current education and research contract.
