Filming Location Revealed for DMM TV’s ‘The Song of the Outer Road’

On the scorching days of early July, filming for DMM TV’s latest drama series, 'The Song of the Outer Road', took place inside the shadowy confines of a warehouse located in Tokorozawa, Saitama Prefecture. The scene being shot was harrowing, involving the character Shuhei Kishimoto, played by Yosuke Kubozuka, who has committed horrific crimes of child abuse and murder. His character undergoes grim justice, depicted through staged torture sequences.
For those unaware of the backstory, Kishimoto abused his stepdaughter Rin, leading to her tragic and preventable death. His twisted actions are referenced throughout the show, painting him as not only guilty of murder but also as someone who has yet to face true retribution. Remarkably, after serving only seven years, Kishimoto goes on to publish a book, lauded as 'A Love I Wanted', which sensationalizes his criminal history.
During the filming, Kubozuka’s character’s punishment involves the use of real liquid nitrogen, creating dramatic visual effects and clouds of white smoke. The atmosphere was heavy with tension as cast and crew maneuvered around hazardous materials, underscoring the seriousness of the scene.
