Inside Shahid Kapoor And Mira Rajput's Stunning Mumbai Home

The couple's luxurious duplex features art, design, and family warmth.

Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput's luxurious home stands as both a stylish retreat and a vibrant family hub. Nestled within the opulent Three Sixty West skyscraper located in the upscale Worli neighborhood of Mumbai, this breathtaking duplex spans approximately 10,000 sq. ft. and is valued at around ₹58 crore. The home offers stunning panoramic views of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, establishing it as one of the city's most desirable residencies.

Describing her initial reaction to the space, Mira laid bare the couple’s serendipitous discovery of their dream home. "When I walked in, I knew it was home," she expressed, reflecting on the moment Shahid introduced her to the property—a setting they hadn’t initially considered due to its stark differences from their prior Juhu residence.

Designed by renowned architect Annkur Khosla, the home is artfully structured to blend elegance and comfort with functionality. The carefully curated spaces cater to the Kapoors' need for family time, work areas, and entertaining guests, which they love to do. Whether hosting cricket screenings or enjoying movie nights, the home seamlessly accommodates their diverse activities.

The upper level of the residence features several versatile spaces including four spacious bedrooms, each echoing comfort and flair, as well as a sophisticated guest suite, equipped for their frequent family visitors. A glamorous room, opened up for hosting, sits alongside amenities like Shahid's DJ setup, an open-air gym, and even a compact pantry, streamlining daily life for the busy family.

Mira noted how important it was to create areas for family interaction, as well as personal retreats. “It’s very seamless for both of us to go from home to work, without feeling work is intruding,” she explained. The thoughtful separation of spaces allows the couple and their two children—Misha and Zain—to coexist harmoniously within the vibrant family hub yet still enjoy their individual corners for personal activities.

The couple’s love for art is prominently displayed throughout their home, showcasing Mira’s growing collection. Central to the design is the geometric, black staircase, which proves to be not only functional but visually arresting, tying the entire space together. Each corner of the home tells its own story, showcasing pieces gathered from their travels and thoughtfully selected art curated alongside consultant Maya Puri.

Among the standout pieces is a Radhakrishnan sculpture adorning the entrance lobby, alongside colorful artworks by Yuvaan Bothysathuvar and Subodh Kerkar. Each piece reflects Mira's passion for art, which marries her husband’s taste for the avant-garde. “Will it age well? How do we get the most storage space?” she laughs, commenting on the design discussions they often face. Their different preferences for aesthetics—Mira’s practicality juxtaposed with Shahid's artistic vision—have led to animated negotiations handled with grace and humor.

While designing their dream home over the course of 14 months during the pandemic, the couple found comfort as they transformed their vision through remote collaboration, trusting contractor Laxman Mistry with on-site developments. This unique approach, bred from necessity, resulted in the pivotal choice of sustainable materials and emphasis on lighting, contributing significantly to the home’s ambiance.

“Shahid is obsessed with lighting. He likes dim, moody lighting and I prefer it bright,” Mira shared, showcasing how their synergistic creativity extended even to the choices of fixtures, which play a dramatic role in how spaces are perceived and utilized. Half of their home’s budget dedicated to lighting emphasizes both practicality and style, making it one of the most impactful decisions they made.

The entire residence draws inspiration from Mira’s childhood home, the Chattarpur farmhouse, blending nostalgia and modernity. The Kapoors have now truly settled within their community, with Misha thriving on the building’s climbing wall and Mira’s parents enjoying the pool. The home facilitates spontaneous gatherings with friends, reflecting their desire for social connection and warmth. "It’s a real-life cocoon," Mira described her living environment, which emulates the very idea of what home should represent.

Shahid and Mira Kapoor's Mumbai abode is so much more than physical space. It is a rich narrative of love, art, and family—a dynamic canvas created to accommodate growing identities, treasured gatherings, and the precious moments life brings their way. With artistic elements handpicked at each turn and spaces crafted for shared experiences, the Kapoor residence truly reflects their commitment to fine living and family values, all wrapped within the embrace of one luxurious home.
