On February 20, 2025, the Universitas Muhammadiyah Lampung (UML) celebrated its program's significant milestone with the announcement of receiving the 'Unggul' accreditation from the Indonesian education department, marking it as one of the premier language education institutions. Dr. Mardiana, the Rector of UML, expressed gratitude to all individuals who contributed to this long-term accreditation process, stating, “Keberhasilan ini adalah bukti nyata kerja keras kita semua. Namun, akreditasi unggul ini bukanlah akhir, melainkan awal dari langkah besar menuju kampus yang global.”

This sentiment reflects the broader aim of Indonesian educational institutions to not only achieve status at home but to position themselves favorably on the global stage. The rise of interest around Indonesian education stems from various factors, including cultural diplomacy and the need for mutual cooperation between nations.

Another notable initiative came from the Indonesian government, especially aimed at international students, when the language training division of the Ministry of Defense, led by Brigjen TNI Heru Prayitno, closed successful intensive language courses. Brigjen Prayitno congratulated the alumni on their impressive completion, emphasizing, “Dengan kemampuan berbahasa Indonesia yang telah diperoleh, kami berharap alumni dapat lebih mudah beradaptasi dan berinteraksi selama menjalani pendidikan Dikspespa Hidros.”

Such courses aimed not only at language proficiency but also at building stronger diplomatic ties between Indonesia and the participating countries. This connection is increasingly relevant as global educational trends shift toward more intercultural exchanges, demonstrating how important language learning is for international collaboration.
