Indonesia National Team Tickets Sell Out As Fans Rush To Support

With additional tickets released, fans are eager for the upcoming World Cup qualifying matches.

Ticket sales for the Indonesia national football team's upcoming matches have begun to gain attention, with fans eager to support their team as it competes for World Cup qualification. On March 3, 2025, the additional tickets for the highly anticipated match between Australia and Indonesia were officially released, bringing excitement for supporters eager to secure their seats.

According to the official site of the Socceroos, the tickets went on sale at 10:00 AM local time on March 3. "A limited number of seats across all categories will be available with a cap of six tickets per transaction," the site announced. The decision to release more tickets follows overwhelming demand from fans, as the original allocation for the Australia vs Indonesia match, announced on February 11, 2024, sold out almost immediately.

This clash at the Sydney Football Stadium on March 20, 2025, at 8:00 PM Sydney time (4:00 PM WIB), is pivotal for the Indonesian team, who must secure positive results to keep their World Cup 2026 hopes alive. Currently, Indonesia sits third in Group C of the Asian third round qualifiers, having accumulated six points and trailing Australia, who holds the second spot by just one point.

Following the change of pace with the Australia match, fans are also preparing for the match against Bahrain, scheduled to take place shortly after on March 25, 2025. The tickets for this home game at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium will start selling from March 4, 2025, at 10:00 AM WIB through the Livin’ Sukha app.

Bank Mandiri has facilitated this initiative, providing fans with access to tickets using various payment methods, including Virtual Account, savings accounts, and credit cards. Each transaction will be limited to four tickets. This is a measure aimed at accommodating more fans eager to support their team during these significant matches.

Details have emerged on the pricing structure for the Bahrain match, with prices reflecting a noticeable increase compared to previous games. The cheapest category, Indomie Upper Garuda, will be priced at IDR 300,000, compared to IDR 240,000 for the last FIFA matchday against Japan and Saudi Arabia conducted last November. Among the most significant price hikes, the Premier categories have jumped to IDR 1,750,000 from IDR 1,400,000, representing a rise of IDR 350,000.

The full list of ticket prices for the Indonesia vs Bahrain match is as follows:

  • Mandiri Premium West, Zone 1: IDR 1,750,000
  • Mandiri Premium East, Zones 6 and 7: IDR 1,750,000
  • Freeport Garuda West, Zone 11: IDR 1,250,000
  • Freeport Garuda East, Zones 5 and 8: IDR 1,250,000

  • Astra Financial Garuda North, Zones 9 and 10: IDR 600,000

The substantial increase across ticket categories highlights the growing support for the Indonesian national team, particularly as they aim to boost their chances of participating in the prestigious tournament. Notably, the overall ticket price for the upcoming game against Bahrain shows significant inflation across all categories, sparking discussions among fans and analysts alike.

To accommodate this influx of fans, the Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) has emphasized the importance of registering for Garuda ID, which enables easier purchasing of tickets through the Livin app. This initiative aims to streamline the ticket-buying process and improve overall fan experience.

The PSSI's decision to increase prices reflects both the heightened interest and the economic conditions surrounding international football matches, as seen through ticket sales histograms and anticipated turnout rates. The surge of interest among supporters indicates strong national pride and the desire to witness historical football moments.

With the Indonesian national team's pursuit of World Cup qualification reaching fever pitch, both matches against Australia and Bahrain could prove decisive. A strong showing could secure their chances of advancing to the next round, making these encounters not just about securing points, but also about demonstrating their growth as contenders on the world stage.

The Indonesia vs Australia match on March 20 and the home game against Bahrain on March 25 are not just sporting events; they symbolize the spirit of football for Indonesian fans yearning for their team to succeed on the global platform. The enthusiastic demand for tickets is reflective of the collective hopes pinned on the national team, showcasing the importance of football as a unifying force for this nation.
