Historically, participants received financial assistance amounting to Rp 2.8 million and could convert their internship experience into 20 academic credits (SKS), a feature that encourages formal recognition of practical learning.
This year's Magang Berdampak builds on the success of the Certified Internship and Independent Study (MSIB) program, which has already demonstrated significant positive outcomes. Deputy Minister Stella Christie highlighted that MSIB alumni earn an average salary of Rp 5.5 million, nearly double the national average reported by the National Labor Force Survey. She also noted that 16.52% of internship participants and 6.25% of independent study students received direct job offers from partner companies, a testament to the program's effectiveness in enhancing employability.

Mandatory activities include uploading boarding passes and photos at departure and arrival, submitting monthly reports validated by mentors, and completing a final report based on an official template. Applications are then forwarded to partner companies for administrative and partner-led selection stages. Candidates must confirm participation within 24 hours of acceptance to secure their spots; otherwise, their applications are automatically rejected.
