Immingham Post Office Set To Reopen In New Location

After a year of closures, residents can access postal services again starting May 16.

The town of Immingham is set to welcome a new Post Office, reopening at a new location after a challenging period of service interruptions. The Immingham Post Office is scheduled to launch at Immingham Pharmacy, located on Kennedy Way, on Friday, May 16, 2025, beginning at 1 PM.

This news comes over a year after the previous Post Office branch closed in February 2024 due to a roof collapse. Following that incident, services were temporarily relocated to the Civic Centre in Pelham Road in April 2024. However, the Civic Centre branch also faced disruptions; it closed down just two months later in June 2024 due to the resignation of the postmaster, leaving residents without easy access to postal services.

Residents can look forward to a new facility that aims to restore convenience for the community. The new Immingham Post Office will feature two service counters and will mirror many of the services offered at the original branch. Customers will be able to perform cash withdrawals, deposits of cash and cheques, and utilize the increasingly popular drop and go service for parcel deliveries, as well as Parcelforce Express mail services.

In an effort to engage with the community, the Post Office is inviting residents to share feedback on accessibility to and within the new premises. The new Immingham Post Office will operate with extended hours to accommodate customer needs, with services available 49 hours each week. Opening hours will be Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM and Saturdays from 9 AM to 1 PM. This scheduling aims to provide ample opportunity for residents to access postal services as they go about their daily routines.
