Imarket Launches March Grocery Sales With Price Break Declaration

Promotional event aims to stabilize prices and offer significant discounts on essentials

Imarket is set to make headlines this March with its 'Price Break Declaration' promotional event, which aims to provide substantial discounts on grocery and daily necessity items. Starting from February 28 and running until March 27, 2025, this initiative seeks to combat rising prices and make essentials more affordable for consumers.

The 'Price Break Declaration' is Imarket's signature effort to stabilize prices by offering carefully selected items at reduced rates throughout the month. Huang Woon-ki, the head of Imarket's merchandising department, stated, "We are working hard to provide as many benefits as possible for our customers at the beginning of March with 'Goraeit Festival' and 'Price Break Declaration.'" This highlights the company’s commitment to assisting customers during challenging economic times.

Key grocery items included in the promotion feature premium beef cuts, onions, dried anchovies, milk, and instant noodles, all offered at competitive prices. For example, starting March 3, consumers can purchase high-grade beef for just 3,180 won to 3,280 won per 100 grams, which is around 40% lower than previous prices. This makes it particularly appealing, especially as beef prices are higher due to seasonal demand.

Onions, which have seen price increases recently, will be available at 4,980 won per 3 kg, representing a 38% discount from the normal price. Other essentials, such as dried anchovies, will be sold at 9,980 won for 400 grams, also reflecting significant savings of approximately 29% off regular pricing.

Not only special grocery items are on sale, but also various daily necessities will see discounts. Imarket has prepared around 50 processed and everyday items, including soft tofu, bean sprouts, low-fat milk, and cheese. Popular snack options like chips and soda, along with personal care products such as toothpaste and shampoo, will also be included, making it easier for families to stock up on essentials.

The strategic timing of the 'Price Break Declaration' coinciding with the 'Goraeit Festival' effectively highlights Imarket's efforts to provide customers with savings during this period. The store’s aim is clear: make shopping more affordable, especially for families facing rising costs of living.

Within the promotional period, additional deals will also be available, including seasonal vegetable discounts for participating customers, ensuring even more savings for grocery shoppers. It is more than just groceries – it’s about providing peace of mind for consumers struggling with economic pressures.

Overall, the 'Price Break Declaration' sets the stage for transformative shopping experiences at Imarket this March, embodying their role as advocates for customers during financially tough times. Through these significant discounts, Imarket reinforces the message of accessibility and affordability, aiming to remain the go-to destination for all grocery needs this season.

With the economic climate continually fine-tuning its effects on spending habits, such targeted promotions are increasingly relevant. Imarket’s proactive measures not only seek to alleviate immediate financial burdens but also reflect confidence in their market positioning as they lead the charge for price stabilization across South Korea.

Collectively, these efforts demonstrate Imarket’s strong commitment to adapting to customer needs and ensuring they can provide the best prices year-round. According to Huang Woon-ki, the goal is to transform Imarket locations from just supermarkets to economic havens where shoppers can reliably find affordable prices, no matter the time of the year.
