Ilary Blasi Opens Up About Bastian Muller And Family

The popular TV presenter reflects on love, regrets, and stage ambitions.

Ilary Blasi recently shared insights about her relationship with Bastian Muller, and how her children have embraced him. Speaking to La Repubblica on January 3, 2025, Blasi reflected on her family dynamics with candor.

According to Blasi, her older children welcomed Muller during a dinner. She recounted, "During a dinner, my older kids welcomed him with curiosity." Adding to this, she mentioned her youngest, Isabel, initially referred to Bastian as 'the English gentleman' before recognizing the significant role he plays in her life. Ilary revealed, “I met him by chance at an airport lounge. He took the first step, asking for my Instagram contact, but I initially didn’t take his number. Based on friends’ advice, I went back before boarding.”

Blasi described Muller as being the opposite of her: “He’s romantic, more physical, the opposite of me. He understands who I am, and he accepts me.” Reflecting on her children, Ilary acknowledged her regrets, expressing, “The regret is for my kids. When a relationship goes wrong, awareness is required; my concern is for them.” She lamented coming from a family where parents stay together and mentioned, “Now I’m truly okay; life changes.”

She also reminisced about her ex-husband, Francesco Totti, and quipped about their past dinner, hinting, “The hope dies last; it would be nice.”

Switching gears, rumors surfaced about Bernardo Cherubini, another reality show contestant, insinuated he had once dated a prominent Mediaset presenter. Notably, Biagio D’Anelli, known for his insights on gossip, remarked several months prior on this relationship during his time on Grande Fratello. Following his statement, viewers noticed hints of Cherubini discussing his past romance with Federica Panicucci, who currently remains significant on Canale 5. Cherubini’s mention of this romance was swiftly censored during the broadcast, raising questions among fans about what might be brewing behind the scenes.

Last but not least, Pierpaolo Pretelli, famous for his participation on the same reality show, has announced his return to the stage this January as he steps back onto the spotlight to take on the role of Rocky Balboa in the Italian adaptation of Rocky – The Musical. Director Luciano Cannito explained the rationale behind choosing Pretelli, as he was charmed by his portrayal aligning with the iconic character. "The film’s protagonist is a simple lad without many opportunities, striving to realize his dream," Cannito said during his interview with SuperGuidaTV. During auditions, Cannito learned about Pretelli’s own aspirations, leading him to relate to the character deeply.

Luciano was impressed, recalling, "Pierpaolo has spent the entire summer studying, and when we began rehearsals, he was one of the most prepared individuals among the cast. It’s been one of the most complex productions I've ever worked on.” Cannito expressed confidence not just from his own judgment but cited confirmation from Sylvester Stallone and Broadway’s rights holders, confirming, “Pierpaolo has convinced not just me, but those holding Broadway's rights, and he even received Stallone’s blessing.”

These narratives weave together the intriguing saga of Italian reality television's rise, encapsulating how personal lives of public figures resonate and impact their audiences. Each story intertwines the themes of family, love, and ambition, showcasing the ever-evolving nature of entertainment in Italy.
