Humberto Tan Wins RTL 4's Make Up Your Mind

The beloved drag queen Marga Brult reveals his identity in a stunning finale filled with emotion and talent.

In a dazzling finale that captivated audiences, Humberto Tan was crowned the winner of the popular RTL 4 show 'Make Up Your Mind' on April 26, 2025. He revealed himself to be the drag queen Marga Brult, shocking the panel and viewers alike.

The grand finale showcased a fierce competition among six talented drag queens, each battling for the title. The evening kicked off with a spectacular group performance, setting the stage for the excitement to come. Fred van Leer, a member of the panel, expressed his enthusiasm, exclaiming, "I find this delightful," as the queens performed to a live rendition by Kim-Lian van der Meij.

As the competition progressed, the tension mounted. Goldie Locks, the first to be eliminated, was revealed to be none other than Olympic speed skater Michel Mulder. "It was incredibly fun to do," he stated after his unmasking, admitting that embracing his feminine side was quite a challenge.

The next reveal came with Pam Je Haar Danst, who turned out to be Loiza Lamers. Lamers, a trans woman, shared her emotional experience, stating, "I am genuinely scared for my existence," reflecting on the struggles she faces in today's world. Despite this, she found comfort in the show, describing it as a warm embrace and a family-like environment.

After Lamers' poignant revelation, Bonny On Fire took the stage alongside Minnie Belle, performing to the classic "The Winner Takes It All". However, Bonny On Fire, revealed to be actor Jon van Eerd, was the next to leave the competition. He expressed his gratitude for the experience, saying, "It was truly a contest, but also a family." His emotional journey included a moment of self-acceptance, stating, "I have always found myself very ugly, so when you say, 'I see a very beautiful person,' it suddenly becomes a thing for me."

As the competition continued, Minnie Belle, revealed to be radio DJ Giel Beelen, was also eliminated. Beelen expressed his desire to inspire others, particularly his children, by participating in the show. "I hope they grow up in a time when they can be who they want to be," he shared.

With only three queens left, the stakes were higher than ever. The remaining contestants showcased their talents in a performance from the musical "Beauty is a Bitch". However, it was Minnie Belle who was voted out just before the final round, leading to a dramatic reveal of Giel Beelen, which caused a stir among the panel.

Finally, the moment arrived that everyone had been waiting for. After intense deliberations, the panel crowned Marga Brult as the winner, revealing her true identity as Humberto Tan. "I found it fantastic. I enjoyed it immensely," Tan said, standing proudly in his high heels at nearly 60 years old. The crowning ceremony was made even more special by Royce de Vries, who appeared dressed as the Mystery Queen to present the award.

The competition concluded with Super Casy, revealed to be Wendy van Dijk, taking second place. Van Dijk's reveal surprised many, including Fred van Leer, who exclaimed, "How is that possible?" She expressed her joy, saying, "I am happiest here. I find it so incredibly fun to do."
