Production expectations have fluctuated, but Musk remains confident of the demand for humanoid robots, estimating it at over 20 billion units. This enthusiasm stems partly from Musk's assertion of humanoid robots' transformative potential across industries.

There’s been significant momentum behind humanoid robotics, particularly since the COVID-19 pandemic, which highlighted issues such as staffing shortages.
