Housing Associations Invited To Compete For Building Awards

Celebrating industry achievements, the 2025 Building Awards call for submissions from councils and housing associations.

In a vibrant display of recognition and celebration, the prestigious 2025 Building Awards have opened their submissions, extending a warm invitation to housing associations and councils for the second consecutive year to enter the coveted Housebuilder or Housing Developer of the Year award. This award is aimed specifically at firms constructing homes, whether as standalone developers or collaborators, with a keen emphasis on showcasing innovative features and solving complex challenges.

Entries for this distinguished award will remain open until May 30, 2025, allowing ample time for participants to gather their best submissions. Notably, the Housing Project of the Year award is also part of this year’s offerings. It caters to housebuilders, housing providers, developers, or their project teams that have completed significant developments consisting of no fewer than 15 new units between April 2024 and April 2025.

Beyond these entries, the awards will present several other categories targeting accomplishments within the housing sector. These include the Client of the Year, Good Employer of the Year, Delivering Social Value Award, Digital Excellence Award, MMC Award, and the Net Zero Award—all of which showcase the diverse and impactful efforts shaping the housing landscape.

The 2025 Building Awards ceremony is scheduled for November 4, 2025, at the prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel in central London, a venue known for its grandiosity and history of hosting notable events. Anticipation surrounds this gathering, as last year’s ceremony witnessed a turnout of over 1,000 attendees, all celebrating remarkable achievements within the industry.

Hosted by the charismatic comedian Tom Allen, the previous ceremony provided a platform for several industry stalwarts like HLM Architects, CPC Project Services, Berkeley Group, and Mace, all of which secured prominent awards. Attendees indulged in an evening filled with glamour, laughter, and recognition of outstanding efforts made in the sector.

As the excitement builds for this year’s events, organizers encourage housing organizations to reflect on their recent contributions and accomplishments within the field. It is encouraged that they share their journeys, innovations, and the impact they have had on communities and environments through their projects.

The call for entries serves not only as a competition but as an opportunity to shine a spotlight on the essential work carried out by housing associations and councils that ultimately contribute to the construction of homes contributing to sustainability and enhanced living conditions.

As the 2025 Building Awards draw near, it signifies a platform for not just recognizing achievements but also inspiring future innovations in housing development, ensuring that as challenges arise, thoughtful solutions are engineered and implemented.

Thus, all interested parties are urged to submit their entries by the stipulated deadline, marking a significant participation in the ongoing evolution of the housing sector.
