Hori Unveils New Accessories For Nintendo Switch 2

The USB camera and wired controller launch in June 2025, enhancing gameplay and streaming.

In an exciting announcement for gamers, Hori has revealed two new officially licensed accessories for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, set to launch in June 2025. The products, priced at 4,980 yen and 4,480 yen respectively, are designed to enhance the gaming experience with innovative features and compatibility.

The first product is the "USB Camera Pucken Flower for Nintendo Switch 2," which boasts a playful design inspired by the iconic Piranha Plant from the Mario franchise. This unique camera allows users to manually turn it on and off with its mouth that opens and closes, adding a fun element to streaming or video calls. The camera's stem is flexible, enabling users to adjust the angle for the best view, whether it’s being used on the included stand, directly attached to the Nintendo Switch 2, or mounted on a TV or display bezel.

With dimensions of approximately W6.5 x D4.4 x H15cm and a weight of about 30g, the USB camera is compact and lightweight, making it easy to position anywhere. The connection method is USB Type-C, ensuring compatibility with modern devices. The camera offers a resolution of 640x480, a frame rate of 30fps, and a field of view of 85 degrees, making it suitable for various applications, from gaming to video conferencing.

The second accessory, the "Hori Pad TURBO for Nintendo Switch 2, Windows PC," is a wired controller that promises to elevate gameplay with its advanced features. Priced at 4,480 yen, this controller comes in four vibrant colors: black, navy, white, and lime yellow. It is equipped with back buttons that enhance gameplay by allowing players to execute complex commands more easily.

This controller includes a continuous fire function, which enables players to shoot continuously while holding down a button, as well as a continuous fire hold function that allows for automatic shooting without the need to hold down any buttons. Players can adjust the continuous fire speed in three levels—5, 10, or 20 times per second—making it customizable to various gaming styles.

Additionally, the Hori Pad TURBO features a button assignment function, giving players the flexibility to assign different functions to buttons according to their preferences. The controller also allows users to adjust the dead zone of the left and right sticks in three levels, ensuring a responsive and tailored gaming experience.

With external dimensions of approximately W15.5 x D6.3 x H11cm and a weight of around 246g (including the cable), the Hori Pad TURBO is designed for comfort during extended gaming sessions. The cable length is approximately 3m, providing ample room for movement while playing. It connects via USB Type-A, making it compatible with a range of devices, including the Nintendo Switch 2, the original Nintendo Switch, the OLED model, and PCs running Windows 10 or 11.

Both the USB Camera Pucken Flower and the Hori Pad TURBO are set to hit the market in June 2025, and they aim to provide gamers with enhanced functionality and fun. These accessories not only reflect Hori's commitment to quality and innovation but also their dedication to creating products that resonate with the gaming community.

As gaming continues to evolve, accessories like these play a crucial role in enhancing user experience. With the Nintendo Switch 2 on the horizon, fans are eager to see how these new products will integrate with the console's features and capabilities. Hori’s offerings are expected to be popular among gamers looking for reliability and creativity in their gaming gear.
