Hori Chiemi Shares Surprising Car Troubles

The Japanese talent encounters unexpected vehicle malfunction and learns tech lessons.

Japanese talent Hori Chiemi recently shared her surprising experience with her car's unexpected malfunction, detailing the incident on her Ameblo blog on January 6.

According to Hori, the trouble began when her car suddenly started shaking violently during use. She explained, "My car suddenly started shaking the other day," which left her puzzled and concerned. With the car dealership closed for the New Year holidays, she was left without immediate professional assistance.

Determined to get to the bottom of the issue, Hori utilized the car's onboard system, stating, "I used the onboard system to ask what to do." This tech-savvy move underscored her reliance on the increasingly complex technology present in modern vehicles.

She later drove to the dealer to have her car checked, sharing, "I thought it would be fine, but I came to the dealer to have my car checked." At the dealership, she found herself waiting for diagnostic assistance for about an hour.

When the diagnosis was finally shared, it turned out the issue was related to air entering the fuel line. "The computer judged it as fuel depletion and shook the car to alert us," Hori explained. This unexpected cause took her by surprise, as she noted, "I was surprised at the unexpected cause." The cause was something she had not anticipated, reflecting her thoughts on how advanced technology can sometimes confuse its users.

Looking for silver linings, Hori shifted her perspective, remarking, "Looking at it from another perspective, the car shakes to give me warnings, which makes me feel reassured." Despite the initial stress and surprise, she considered it "a valuable experience and great learning opportunity," viewing the incident positively.

Wrapping up her account, Hori humorously acknowledged the ever-increasing intelligence of modern vehicles. "Recently, cars are too smart for me to keep up with," she said, ending her blog on a light-hearted note about her personal technology struggles.

Through this experience, Hori Chiemi not only learned something about her vehicle but also about the interplay between driver and technology, showcasing how even mundane situations can lead to insightful reflections on life and progress.
