In a bid to attract international talent, Hong Kong Talent Engage (HKTE) officials recently embarked on their first official visit to Australia. Led by Undersecretary for Labour and Welfare Ho Kai-ming, the delegation aimed to showcase the advantages of pursuing careers in Hong Kong, particularly in sectors that are vital for the region's growth such as cybersecurity and sustainable finance.
During their week-long trip from March 17 to March 21, 2025, the HKTE team organized three informational events. Participants received insights from two Australian professionals currently working in Hong Kong, focusing on developments within these essential sectors. “Hong Kong is committed to promoting and attracting more international high-caliber talent to settle here,” Ho emphasized, addressing the audience's curiosity about potential career moves.
The visit covered two major cities—Sydney and Melbourne—where the delegation engaged with a variety of institutions.
