Hong Kong's budget airline has unveiled a one-day remarkable promotion, offering one-way air tickets to over 11 popular destinations starting at just HK$0. The special deal, available until 11:45 PM tonight, allows travelers to book tickets for travel between March 3 and October 25. Destinations included in this exciting offer feature cities such as Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Penang, Seoul, Jeju, Busan, Osaka, Tokyo (Haneda), Takamatsu, and Shizuoka.
According to the airline, the promotion applies strictly to one-way tickets on designated flights and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. It's important for passengers to note, though, the cheap fares do not cover taxes, surcharges, or other fees, leaving customers responsible for all related expenses. The airline has encouraged customers to take advantage of the deal by accessing it through its designated webpage, rather than mobile apps or WeChat mini-programs, advising them to remain patient as the web traffic surges.
Alongside the development of budget air travel, Singapore Airlines has also made waves with new services allowing passengers to check-in and drop off luggage directly at the Hong Kong MTR station. This convenience means travelers can spend their remaining time shopping or sightseeing instead of waiting at the airport.
Initiated on February 24, the check-in service at Hong Kong station is now available, making Singapore Airlines one of several airlines, including Cathay Pacific, Hong Kong Airlines, and Qantas, to provide this option. The MTR Corporation has announced the new service aims to ease travel logistics for departing passengers.
Passengers using Singapore Airlines can take advantage of this service if they hold either an Octopus card or Airport Express ticket, allowing them to proceed directly to self-service kiosks and bag-drop stations. For those traveling with only e-passports or Mainland Travel Permits, check-in at counters is available at the MTR station. Once checked-in, passengers can board the Airport Express, which connects them to the airport in less than 25 minutes.
Importantly, the check-in and baggage drop services for Singapore Airlines are available daily from 9 AM to 5:20 PM, covering flights set to depart within 24 hours to 90 minutes before takeoff, but it’s worth noting the service is not yet available at Kowloon station.
Meanwhile, the other airlines also provide varied timings for check-in services at different MTR locations, ensuring more flexibility for travelers. Cathay Pacific check-in at Hong Kong station runs from 6 AM until 11 PM, Hong Kong Airlines operates from 6 AM to 7 PM, and Qantas provides services from 7 AM to 6 PM, with Kowloon station check-in available until mid-afternoon for the latter two airlines.
With the rise of such convenient travel options, MTR continues to announce expansions of the Intown Check-in Service, leaving travelers with more choices than ever before to streamline their experience from city to airport. These initiatives champion the synergy of affordability and convenience, enhancing the overall travel experience and ensuring the city of Hong Kong remains connected on both regional and international fronts.
