Honda Vietnam Launches 2025 HR-V With Hybrid Version

The new Honda HR-V features advanced technology and eco-friendly options for Vietnamese consumers.

Honda Vietnam (HVN) has officially launched the new Honda HR-V 2025 with a strong emphasis on sustainability, introducing a hybrid version that promises enhanced fuel efficiency and modern features. The event, themed "Green in Motion," showcased not only the HR-V but also unveiled sales and service policies for two new electric motorcycle models, the ICON e: and CUV e:.

The new Honda HR-V is imported entirely from Thailand and is now available in the Vietnamese market starting April 4, 2025. It comes in three versions: the e:HEV RS hybrid, along with the gasoline-powered L and G versions. The e:HEV RS version is equipped with an advanced 1.5L Aikinson DOHC i-VTEC engine, delivering 105 horsepower, paired with a 129 horsepower e-CVT gearbox. This hybrid variant boasts impressive fuel consumption figures, at just 4.44 liters per 100 kilometers, which is 34% lower than its gasoline counterpart.

The design of the HR-V is striking, featuring a chrome front bumper with bold square elements, and the RS version is fitted with stylish 18-inch wheels. Meanwhile, both the G and L versions are powered by a 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC engine, generating 119 horsepower, though they lack turbo technology. All three versions offer a suite of modern features, including wireless phone connectivity, electric seat adjustments, leather upholstery, and rear parking sensors.

Moreover, the RS and L trims come with additional amenities such as automatic electric trunk adjustment, wireless charging capabilities, Honda Connect application integration, and the Honda Lanewatch lane observation system. Safety remains a priority, with every version equipped with the Honda SENSING safety driving support technology, HDC hill assist, electric handbrake, and steering assist.

The retail pricing for the Honda HR-V is set competitively, with the e:HEV RS priced at 869 million VND, the L version at 750 million VND, and the G version at 699 million VND, all prices inclusive of VAT. Notably, the price for the L version has been significantly reduced by approximately 70 million VND compared to its predecessor, enhancing its appeal to potential buyers.

In addition to the HR-V, Honda also introduced the ICON e: electric motorcycle, designed primarily for young users, particularly high school students. The ICON e: features a 30.6 Ah Lithium-ion battery that is IP67 rated for water resistance and is easily removable for charging. With a 1.5 kW electric motor located in the rear wheel, the ICON e: can reach speeds up to 48 km/h and has a range of approximately 71 kilometers on a full charge.

The motorcycle can be charged using a standard 220V outlet, requiring between 0 to 8 hours to reach full battery capacity. The ICON e: will be available for sale starting April 12, 2025, with prices ranging from 26.9 to 27.3 million VND. Customers can reserve a battery for a deposit of 2 million VND, with a monthly rental fee of 350 thousand VND.

Furthermore, Honda has announced the CUV e:, an electric vehicle equivalent to 110cc, equipped with two removable Honda Mobile Power Pack e: batteries. This model features a rated electric motor of 4.2 kW and a maximum output of 6 kW. The CUV e: takes about 6 hours to fully charge and can travel approximately 73 kilometers on a full battery.

Starting from July 2025, the CUV e: will be available for rent at a fee of 1.5 million VND per month, along with a 2 million VND deposit per vehicle. Rental services will be offered at 19 Honda Authorized Dealers (HEAD) located in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City. Customers will also have the opportunity to experience the CUV e: firsthand, as Honda aims to provide convenient access to high-quality electric vehicles.

To further enhance customer experience, the Honda HR-V is equipped with advanced technology and connectivity features. The RS and L versions come with the Honda CONNECT telematics system, an 8-speaker audio setup, three Type C charging ports, and an 8-inch entertainment screen. Additionally, the vehicles feature remote start capabilities integrated into the smart key, allowing drivers to pre-cool or pre-heat the cabin before embarking on their journey.

The launch event highlighted Honda's commitment to providing safe, reliable, and environmentally friendly transportation solutions. With the introduction of the new HR-V and the electric motorcycle models, Honda Vietnam is poised to meet the evolving needs of consumers while contributing to a sustainable future.
