The popular off-road motorcycle gets upgraded specs and improved fuel efficiency for 2025.

The Honda CT125 Hunter Cub motorcycle has made its exciting debut for the 2025 model year, capturing attention with its enhanced features and stylish design. Initially launched on December 12, 2024, this compact off-road bike showcases two new colors and boasts improved fuel efficiency, making it even more appealing to buyers.

Now available for order from dealers, the CT125 is not just limited to Japan; it is also being marketed across Southeast Asia, including Thailand and Vietnam. A local Vietnamese dealership has already started taking deposits on the Thai-imported version, allowing customers to reserve their units with deposits ranging from 5 to 10 million VND. The anticipated delivery date for these bikes is set for April 2025.

Officially priced at 88,900 Baht (around 67.2 million VND) for the Thai market, the CT125's pricing is projected to exceed 100 million VND once taxes and fees are applied for Vietnam. The CT125 Hunter Cub is recognized as a capable trekking motorcycle, renowned for its impressive off-road performance. Since its introduction, this model has generated substantial excitement among motorcycle enthusiasts.

Measuring 1,961 mm long, 805 mm wide, and 1,085 mm high, the new CT125 also features a ground clearance of 165 mm and a seat height of 800 mm, catering to various riders. It carries a 5.3-liter fuel tank and maintains the same weight as the current model at 118 kg, ensuring ease of handling.

One of the standout features of the 2025 CT125 is its circular LCD display, which houses indicators for fuel measurement, speed, RPM, and trip data. The motorcycle is equipped with 17-inch spoked wheels and tubeless off-road tires, allowing for flexible movement across rugged terrains. A convenient USB charging port is also included for powering electronic devices on the go.

Safety and control have not been overlooked, as the new model integrates front disc brakes with ABS to prevent wheel locking during sudden stops, enhancing stability especially on slick roads or at high speeds. The 2025 CT125 has also seen modifications to its engine setup. Previously, catalytic converters were installed at the base of the exhaust pipe and the central pipe; the new model concentrates these remodifications at the bottom of the exhaust.

Under the hood, the Honda CT125 2025 is powered by a single-cylinder, air-cooled 4-stroke engine with SOHC and two valves. The engine has a displacement of 124.8 cc, delivering a peak power output of 9.38 hp at 7,500 RPM, and torque of 10.8 Nm at 5,000 RPM. Fuel efficiency is also improved, with the 2025 model achieving 66.9 km/L under the WMTC test standard, surpassing the 65.7 km/L of the Dax 125 model. The CT125 stands out with its remarkably low fuel consumption of approximately 1.5 liters per 100 km, creating cost-effective operation for riders.

With its compelling blend of style, functionality, and efficiency, the 2025 Honda CT125 Hunter Cub motorcycle is poised to be irresistible to both adventure-seekers and daily commuters alike. The blend of practical features with stylish aesthetics positions it as one of the year’s must-have motorcycles, set to create waves across markets as it rolls out to eager customers.
