HK Express Airways, known for its affordable services, is set to reintroduce direct flights to Miyako (Shimojishima), Japan, starting from June 27, 2025. This seasonal route will operate four weekly round-trip flights until October 24, 2025. By launching this new connection, HK Express enhances travel options between Hong Kong and the stunning islands of Okinawa.
"We are thrilled to announce the return of our direct flights to Miyako, providing our passengers with convenient access to one of Japan's most beautiful island destinations," stated the airline's representative. With this addition, HK Express remains the only airline offering non-stop flights from Hong Kong to Miyako, complementing its existing routes to airports at Naha and Ishigaki.
Scheduled flights will depart Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) at 14:10 and arrive at Miyako (Shimojishima) (SHI) at 17:25 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The return flight will leave Miyako at 18:10, arriving back in Hong Kong at 19:35, following the same operational days.
Miyako, part of the Miyako Islands, is known for its picturesque scenery, offering pristine beaches where travelers can unwind and indulge. Famous attractions include Yonaha Maehama Beach, famed for its white sand and turquoise waters, Aragusuku Beach, which is perfect for snorkeling, and Sunayama Beach, home to unique rock formations.
