On January 27, TBS Radio confirmed his departure, citing 'significant compliance violations' against its human rights policies as the reason for their decision.
According to the agency representing Ikushima, Ikushima Planning, their investigation followed TBS's announcement, wherein they acknowledged instances of inappropriate behavior, including sending unacceptable photos to female staff and exhibiting harsh behavior toward program production staff. They were quick to express their deep apologies for the distress caused by Ikushima's actions.
"We extend our heartfelt apologies to those who suffered due to the behaviors of Hiroshi Ikushima," said the agency's statement on their official website. They confirmed his immediate resignation from all positions within the agency and announced the indefinite suspension of his entertainment activities.
Upon his dismissal, Ikushima issued his own statement, reflecting on these events. He recognized his failings and acknowledged the discomfort caused by his actions: "I sent inappropriate photographs to radio staff, and I received feedback from female colleagues expressing their discomfort.
