Heal's Furniture Store Expands With New Outlet And Collaborations

The iconic retailer opens new locations and partners with Harvey Jones to reshape modern shopping experiences

A delightful new chapter is being written at Heal's, the renowned British furniture retailer, which has officially expanded its reach by opening not one, but two new stores as part of its ambitious growth strategy. The expansion—an outlet store launched at Bicester Avenue and the introduction of Harvey Jones showrooms at various Heal's locations—marks significant steps for the brand as it aims to cater to changing consumer demands.

Starting with the Bicester Avenue outlet, this vibrant new store spans 6,000 square feet and promises to deliver Heal's signature modern furniture at discounted rates. Hamish Mansbridge, Chief Executive of Heal's, shared insights on the new opening, stating, "We continue to enjoy real success across our bricks and mortar portfolio and are excited to expand our footprint with this new opening at Bicester Avenue. For those seeking to update their homes, we understand many customers prefer to see and feel products before making a purchase." The outlet features best-selling sofas, beds, lighting, and home accessories—many at reduced prices—and includes items from canceled, returned, or overstocked orders.

To spice things up, the unique partnership with Blue Diamond Garden Centres, which owns the site, reflects both companies' shared vision. Alan Roper, managing director at Blue Diamond, described the partnership as the initial step for establishing Bicester Avenue Garden & Home as the region's premier home and lifestyle destination. "Further brands will join us next year," he hinted, signaling even more exciting options for shoppers down the line.

Meanwhile, another layer of excitement surrounds Heal’s with its partnership with the bespoke kitchen manufacturer Harvey Jones. A showroom opened recently within Heal's Tottenham Court Road location, offering six kitchen and home space displays. This collaboration, spearheaded by the influential design team at Harvey Jones, features contemporary kitchen styles like the new Skinny Shaker along with their acclaimed Arbor, Linear, and Hampton ranges. Rachel Davies, the senior designer at Harvey Jones, was instrumental in bringing these designs to life, which include specialized installations for pets and utilities—a nod to the growing demand for functionality paired with aesthetics.

Amy Smith, marketing director for Harvey Jones, elaborated on the decision to expand, stating, "We know it's difficult for people to get to high streets. This addresses how consumers are changing the way they shop and allows us to reach more people." The new showroom features first-class appliances from brands like Fisher & Paykel, Miele, and Quooker, and boasts its Design Lounge, meant for collaborative client participation. Could we see more of these promising collaborations? Smith hinted at it: “We may, or may not, be working with Heal’s on our new location as well.”

Notably, Heal's flagship store has remained operational for two hundred years on Tottenham Court Road, serving as the heart of the brand's storied history. The expansion isn’t just about growth; it's about tapping deeply rooted traditions and modern consumer needs simultaneously. After all, buying furniture is no longer just about acquiring goods; it's about enhancing lifestyle and eleving spaces.

Heal's does not operate alone. The carefully curated selection featured at the outlet will not only serve as bargains for budget-conscious shoppers but also signify quality craftsmanship, reassuring buyers of the brand's commitment even amid transitioning marketplace dynamics. This brand refreshing experience is especially pivotal as Heal's embraces changes initiated by new ownership earlier this year.

The expansion also aligns with nationwide trends showing increased consumer interest in home improvement. According to various studies, many people are opting to renovate their spaces rather than uproot their lives for new pastures. Many local shoppers are eager for such value-added experiences—where they can touch and feel items—and Heal's and Harvey Jones are responding decisively. A bright new future is undeniably on the horizon.

Predictions indicate this new strategy could chart new territories for both Heal's and Harvey Jones as they join forces to engage with customers more effectively. Moving forward, it seems both brands are poised not just for survival but for genuine growth, demonstrating resilience and adaptability. The future seems bright for these furniture players and the consumers eager to fill their homes with stylish, functional pieces. Will we see even more collaborations come to fruition? Only time will tell, but for now, the paths laid out promise excitement, value, and unparalleled shopping experiences.
