Harshita Kejriwal Marries IIT Batchmate Sambhav Jain

The daughter of former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal ties the knot at Kapurthala House in a star-studded ceremony

Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's daughter, Harshita, tied the knot with her IIT batchmate Sambhav Jain on April 18, 2025, in a grand yet intimate ceremony held at the historic Kapurthala House in New Delhi. The wedding was a significant event, attended by notable figures, including Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and several leaders from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

The wedding ceremony, which took place against the backdrop of Kapurthala House—a venue known for its architectural splendor—was marked by traditional decor and elaborate floral arrangements that reflected the rich cultural heritage of both families. The couple's engagement had occurred a day earlier, on April 17, at the Shangri-La Eros Hotel in Connaught Place, also attended by prominent political figures and close family members.

Harshita, who is the eldest child of Arvind and Sunita Kejriwal, graduated from IIT Delhi with a degree in Chemical Engineering in 2018, where she ranked third in her department. Following her graduation, she began her professional journey as an Associate Consultant at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Gurugram. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to co-found a startup called Basil Health, which aims to provide healthy meal options through automation, a venture inspired by her own struggles with maintaining a healthy diet while working as a consultant.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Harshita has been actively involved in her father's political career, assisting in election campaigns for the AAP alongside her mother. This dedication to public service highlights her commitment to both her family and the community.

Sambhav Jain, her husband, is also an IIT alumnus and works as a project management consultant. The couple first met during their time at IIT Delhi, where they developed a bond that has now culminated in marriage.

The engagement ceremony was a private affair, with only a select group of family and friends in attendance. Videos of the event have circulated on social media, showcasing moments of joy, including Arvind and Sunita Kejriwal dancing, which added a personal touch to the celebrations.

Attendees at the wedding included not only political figures but also Bollywood personalities, with singer Mika Singh among the guests, reflecting the blend of political and social spheres in Delhi. The presence of such notable figures underscores the significance of the event in the city's cultural landscape.

In a statement, Delhi Minister Majinder Singh Sirsa extended his congratulations to the couple, emphasizing the personal nature of the event while wishing them happiness and prosperity in their new life together. He noted, "I respect their family and hope that their daughter finds joy and honor in her new family."

As the celebrations continue, Harshita and Sambhav's reception is scheduled for April 20, 2025, promising to be another occasion filled with joy and festivities. The couple's journey together is just beginning, and their union symbolizes the merging of two families committed to both personal and public service.

With their shared backgrounds in education and entrepreneurship, Harshita and Sambhav represent a new generation of leaders who are poised to make a difference in both their community and beyond. Their story is not just one of personal achievement but also of the potential for positive change through collaboration and innovation.
