Hanoi Launches Initiatives To Promote Tourism And Culture

New center aims to strengthen ties through cultural exchange and tourism growth.

On March 1, 2025, the City of Hanoi officially launched multiple initiatives to promote tourism and cultural exchange, showcasing its rich heritage to the world. One of the key milestones is the establishment of the Hanoi Tourism Information and Promotion Center (HTIPC), which will play a pivotal role in enhancing the city's tourism branding both domestically and internationally.

The HTIPC was created following a decision by the Hanoi People's Committee to reorganize tourism promotion efforts under the Department of Tourism. Located at 10 Trinh Hoai Duc, Ha Dong district, the center aims to become the leading agency for promoting Hanoi's tourism potential, coordinating with various organizations to boost awareness and visitor numbers.

During the launch events, approximately 400 delegates, including ambassadors and diplomatic officials from around the world, gathered to experience the cultural richness Hanoi has to offer. Notably, the delegation participated in unique activities, including visiting the flower-growing village of Me Linh, paying respect at the national historic site of Hai Ba Trung Temple, and engaging with local artisans.

"This program is an opportunity for Hanoi's tourism sector to introduce Vietnamese culture to international friends living in Vietnam," shared Nguyen Ngoc Ky, Chairman of the Union of Friendship Organizations of Hanoi. These reflections underline the importance of fostering international relations through cultural appreciation, enriching the experience for both visitors and locals.

The cultural exchange activities impressed many onlookers, including Jamale Chouaibi, the Moroccan Ambassador to Vietnam, who remarked on the warm reception provided by the people of Hanoi. The culinary scene also played a central role during these promotional events. Participants indulged in Hanoi's famous street food, known for its unique blend of flavors.
