Hailey Bieber Addresses Rumors After Instagram Glitch

Despite speculation of trouble, Hailey confirms she didn't unfollow Justin on Instagram due to a technical issue.

Hailey Bieber had everyone talking on Monday morning when her husband Justin Bieber's name went missing from the list of Instagram accounts she follows. Rumors were rampant that Hailey unfollowed Justin, but it looks like that didn’t really happen! Sources told TMZ that Justin deactivated his Instagram briefly on Sunday, March 30, 2025, which led to a glitch, making it seem like Hailey unfollowed him. According to the site, the glitch is also affecting Justin’s other followers too, since he’s not showing up on their following list either!

Hailey also shut down rumors that she unfollowed Justin on TikTok. She commented on a TikTok, writing, "Didn’t unfollow him. Hope this helps!" Despite the most recent glitch, Justin is still following Hailey, his wife of five years. In January, Justin had to clear the air after it was reported that he unfollowed Hailey. He jumped on Instagram Stories, writing, “Someone went on my account and unfollowed my wife. Sht is getting suss out here.”

Justin Bieber had an active day on Instagram yesterday, sharing eight new posts and 17 Instagram Stories. He shared a post with his son, Jack Bieber, and an Instagram Story featuring a close-up photo of Hailey set to Sade’s “Jezebel.” During that time, he also briefly deactivated and reactivated his account, which caused a tech issue where his wife, Hailey Bieber, appeared to unfollow him. Fans noticed Justin no longer appeared on Hailey’s following list that morning. Justin still follows her account. However, Hailey did not actually unfollow her husband. She clarified what happened on a TikTok, writing, “It’s a glitch. Didn’t unfollow him. Hope this helps!”

Sources also spoke to TMZ about the glitch, explaining that Justin’s brief deactivation of his account caused it. Hailey was very supportive of her husband’s Instagram posting spree yesterday. She even commented a heart eyes emoji on his latest post. The tech issue comes after Justin briefly unfollowed Hailey in January. He claimed it was not deliberate. He refollowed her and wrote on his Instagram Story, “Someone went on my account and unfollowed my wife. Sht is getting suss out here.”

On March 21, a source spoke to People about the state of the Biebers’ marriage, shutting down speculation there was trouble. “Things are fine,” the source said. “Hailey’s working, and Justin’s creating music.” The insider added, “They are just doing their thing. They are not concerned what people think. [They] have a great life. They love being parents. They have a great marriage too.”

On February 24, a source told Us Weekly that Hailey has made a real effort to be there for her husband as he manages his mental health: Hailey spoke to W magazine last July about how upsetting speculation about her and Justin’s relationship has been. She revealed that she works with a therapist in order to not let the negative comments get to her. “People have made me feel so bad about my relationship since day one,” she said. “‘Oh, they’re falling apart. They hate each other. They’re getting divorced.’ It’s like people don’t want to believe that we’re happy. I used to try to act like it hurts less and less. I’ve tried to think that you get used to it at a certain point, that this is what’s going to be said and this is how people are going to be. But I realize that it doesn’t actually ever hurt any less.”

Hailey Bieber denied unfollowing Justin Bieber on Instagram on March 31, 2025, calling it a glitch. She commented on a TikTok about the rumors on March 31, 2025, saying, "It's a glitch. Didn’t unfollow him. Hope this helps!" Justin allegedly deactivated his Instagram account after posting a series of photos and going live on Saturday, but reactivated it not long after. According to multiple outlets, Justin was not listed under Hailey's "Following" list Monday morning. However, the two seem to still be following each other.

A representative for Justin did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment. In a recent post, Hailey showed her admiration for Justin by commenting with a heart-eyes emoji. Justin has recently sparked concern among fans with his various posts about his mental and emotional health. "I was always told when I was a kid not to hate," Justin wrote on his Instagram story earlier this month. "But it made me feel like I wasn’t allowed to have it and so I didn’t tell anyone I’ve had it."

"Which made me feel like I have been drowning feeling unsafe to acknowledge it," he continued. "I think we can only let hate go. By first acknowledging it's there. How couldn't we feel hate from all of the hurt we have experienced?" he concluded. Last week, Justin revealed that while he often struggles with "anger issues," he's actively trying to better himself.

On March 22, Justin shared a series of three strange photos, including one of what appear to be shipping containers, on Instagram, alongside the caption “I got anger issues too, but I wanna grow and not react so much smh 🤦♂️.” In a follow-up post, the 31-year-old pop star openly discussed insecurities he often feels. "I think I hate myself sometimes when I feel myself start to become inauthentic," he wrote, alongside a clip of what seems to be a studio session. "Then I remember we’re all being made to think we’re not enough but I still hate when I change myself to please people."

In February, Justin's behavior at Hailey's Rhode event in Los Angeles left fans baffled. In a video that went viral on TikTok last month, Justin was seen with a huge grin on his face and rocking side-to-side while talking to attendees. "Are you sure that's Justin Bieber?" one user asked. "Is he okay?!" another chimed in. Justin's team told TMZ that concerns about his mental and physical health are "exhausting and pitiful and shows that despite the obvious truth, people are committed to keeping negative, salacious, harmful narratives alive."

His team added that he is focused on being a father to his son Jack and producing new music. Hailey and Justin welcomed their first child in August. While fans continue to speculate, many have been flocking to the pop singer's social media with words of encouragement. "Justin, you are incredibly talented, kind and resilient," one commented on his Instagram post on Monday. "No negativity can take away the impact you’ve made. Keep shining and staying true to yourself. You are not alone! We love you."

Another fan wrote, "You are so special to all of us, Justin! Thank you for sharing so many moments with us. It's beautiful to see you happy with your wife and your little baby! We wish you all the love in the world."
