Guy Ritchie Reveals New Crime Drama MobLand Starring Tom Hardy

The upcoming series explores the turbulent lives of rival London crime families set to premiere on Paramount+ this March.

Guy Ritchie is making a triumphant return to television with his latest crime drama, MobLand, which is set to hit Paramount+ on March 30, 2025. Following the success of his Netflix feature The Gentlemen, this new series explores the intense rivalry between two notorious London crime families embroiled in an international syndicate.

As the executive producer of MobLand, Ritchie brings together a star-studded cast featuring Oscar nominee Tom Hardy, renowned actor Pierce Brosnan, and Oscar winner Helen Mirren, among many rising talents. The series will consist of 10 episodes, all released simultaneously on the streaming platform, catering perfectly to binge-watchers.

Set against the backdrop of London, MobLand centers around the Harrigans and the Stevensons, two feuding crime families whose deadly rivalry threatens to tear apart empires and ruin lives. Caught in this dangerous crossfire is Harry Da Souza, portrayed by Hardy, a street-smart fixer who walks a fine line between loyalty and survival.

In a plot summary shared by Paramount+, MobLand is described as a gripping tale where “caught in the crossfire is Harry Da Souza (Hardy), the street-smart ‘fixer’ who knows too well where loyalties lie when opposing forces collide.” The description continues to highlight a life-or-death dynamic within the drama: “As kingdom goes up against kingdom, the only saving grace is a bet-your-life guarantee: family above everything.”

Production for the series began in late 2023 at various locations across London, setting the stage for an immersive viewing experience filled with grit and authenticity. The series is overseen by an impressive lineup of executive producers including Keith Cox, Nina L. Diaz, David C. Glasser, Ritchie himself, and several others, including Hardy.

When it comes to the cast, MobLand doesn’t hold back. Alongside Hardy as Harry Da Souza, the series features Brosnan as Conrad Harrigan and Mirren as Maeve Harrigan. Paddy Considine plays Kevin Harrigan, adding to the ensemble of talent.

Rounding out the cast are familiar faces such as Joanne Froggatt as Jan Da Souza, Lara Pulver as Bella Harrigan, Anson Boon as Eddie Harrigan, and Mandeep Dhillon as Seraphina Harrigan. Other notable appearances include Jasmine Jobson as Zosia, Alex Fine as Donnie, and Geoff Bell as Richie Stevenson.

It's clear that Ritchie's vision for MobLand is ambitious, merging a thrilling narrative with rich character development. As fans eagerly await the premiere, the series promises to deliver a fresh take on crime dramas.

With streaming available in the U.S., Canada, the UK, and Australia, viewers worldwide can look forward to indulging in this exciting new series that raises the stakes in crime thrillers.

Set to debut on Paramount+ on March 30, 2025, the anticipation for MobLand continues to build. Given the overlapping themes of family loyalty and violent power struggles, audiences are bound to be captivated by the series and its characters.

In an era where streaming services dominate the scene, MobLand positions itself as a significant new player in the crime genre, reflecting Ritchie's strengths as a filmmaker. All eyes will undoubtedly be on this high-stakes drama when it drops for public consumption.
