GUJCET 2025 Results Announced For Over 1 Lakh Candidates

Candidates can now check their scores online and begin the counselling process for engineering admissions.

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has officially announced the results for the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) 2025 today, May 5, 2025. Students who participated in the examination can now check their scores on the official website, gseb.org, using their six-digit seat numbers.

The GUJCET was conducted on March 23, 2025, and saw participation from a total of 129,706 candidates across various centers in Gujarat. Out of these, 109,692 were from the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) and 17,789 were from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The results were eagerly awaited by students, many of whom were hoping to secure their places in engineering and pharmacy courses.

To access their results, candidates must visit gseb.org, click on the GUJCET result link, and enter their seat number. The scorecard will display the marks obtained and the candidate's rank. For those experiencing difficulties with the website, results can also be obtained via WhatsApp by sending their seat number to 6357300971.

According to the GSHSEB, the GUJCET scorecard includes essential details such as subject-wise scores and overall performance. Candidates are advised to download and print their scorecards for future reference. The GUJCET results will play a crucial role in the admission process for various engineering colleges across Gujarat.

The admission criteria for engineering courses will consider a 50:50 weightage split between the GSEB HSC Class 12th science results and GUJCET scores. This means that both the marks obtained in the HSC and the GUJCET will be pivotal in determining a candidate's eligibility for admission into government, government-aided, and unaided colleges.

Following the announcement of the results, the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) has already commenced the registration process for GUJCET counselling 2025. The last date for candidates to register for the counselling session is May 20, 2025. The first provisional merit list will be published on June 3, followed by the final list on June 7. Candidates will then be able to fill in their choices starting June 7, with the seat allotment results to be declared on June 13.

In the 2025 results, a notable achievement was recorded, with 489 students from Group A and 790 from Group B securing above the 99 percentile rank. The overall performance statistics show that the exam was competitive, with a significant number of students achieving high marks.

The GUJCET exam itself comprised three papers: Paper I covered Physics and Chemistry, Paper II was focused on Biology, and Paper III tested Mathematics. Each paper contained 40 questions, with a total of 120 questions across all subjects. Candidates were penalized for incorrect answers, with 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong response.

As for the qualifying marks, general category candidates needed to score at least 54 marks, while SC, ST, OBC, and EWS candidates had to achieve a minimum of 48 marks to qualify for admission. This scoring system ensures that the selection process remains fair and equitable for all candidates.

The GUJCET results are not only significant for students aiming for engineering courses but also for those interested in pharmacy programs, as the counselling process will cater to both fields. Candidates who have qualified in the entrance exam must complete the registration to participate in the seat allotment process for BE and BTech admissions.

Students are encouraged to keep their admit cards handy while checking their results, as the seat number is required for logging into the GSEB portal. For those who wish to check their results through WhatsApp, the process is straightforward: simply send your seat number to the designated number, and you will receive your result directly.

In addition to the GUJCET results, the GSHSEB also announced the HSC results today, further adding to the excitement and anxiety of students across the state. The simultaneous release of these results underscores the importance of both examinations in shaping the academic futures of the candidates.

As students check their results, many will be contemplating their next steps, whether that involves preparing for counselling, considering alternative pathways, or celebrating their achievements. The GUJCET results mark a pivotal moment in the academic calendar for many students in Gujarat, and the coming weeks will be crucial for those seeking admission into their desired courses.

With the GUJCET results now available, students are urged to stay informed about the counselling process and to ensure they meet all deadlines for registration and choice filling.
