Cygames has revealed exciting updates for their popular social game, Granblue Fantasy, during the "Granblue Festival 2024" held at Tokyo Big Sight from December 21 to 22. The updates were shared during the special Christmas broadcast of "Granblue Live".
The festival saw the introduction of new limited characters, Yachima, voiced by Minori Suzuki, and Raphael, voiced by Tetsu Mikami, captivating fans with their unique designs and abilities. Alongside these characters, Alethea will also receive a new version, broadening the roster available to players.
A significant highlight from the event is the announcement of the new summon stone, Ororojaya, which joins the game as part of the "Providence Series." This addition promises to expand the strategic options for players as they build their teams.
Upcoming events will feature new rewards, including the highly anticipated addition of new characters who will have LB (Limit Break) support abilities. Importantly, significant enhancements are planned for the gameplay experience; players can now acquire summon stones from surprise special gacha tickets. Noteworthy summon stones like Bahamut and Lucifer are included, making the event more enticing for players.
Players will have the opportunity to pull multiple boxes from the War Currency Gacha simultaneously thanks to upcoming features—this change aims to streamline gameplay and improve the user experience.
Specially for Christmas, on December 25, players will have access to two types of star legend gacha sets, guaranteeing the acquisition of limited character series weapons. This service ties directly to the event’s offerings and promises to reward players just in time for the holidays.
Adding to the festivities, Schellcarte's special training program will receive updates as well, with plans to introduce level eight for each attribute by February 2025. This enhancement is said to help players support their transition to the Ten Celestials, reinforcing the gameplay's connection to character development.
The "Annual Year-End Ramen Grand Battle" event is also set to kick off, promising exciting new gameplay elements with salt ramen versus miso ramen as the central theme. Players will tackle battles to collect points, unlocking rewards like the rare Hailar(R) and the precious Quartz of Time, pivotal items for advancing their characters.
Challenging encounters will include the "Big Eating Challenge," where players attempt to defeat bosses within specified turn limits to earn points. This new feature has players buzzing with anticipation as it adds variety to the traditional combat mechanics.
With the inclusion of Hailar(R) as part of the event rewards, participants are encouraged to secure this limited-time character, who will only be available during the event. A treasure exchange will also feature previously distributed skins and characters, allowing newcomers to collect items they may have missed and veterans to expand their collections.
The event not only presents new gameplay updates and characters but also offers previous skins and characters as rewards to enrich player experiences and options.
Lastly, the introduction of the Quartz of Time as part of the point rewards is another enticing element for players, making the competition fierce as they aim to maximize their performance during this event. The announcement sets the stage for what promises to be an action-packed and rewarding experience for Granblue Fantasy fans.
