The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) has officially announced the Goa Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Result 2025 today, March 27, at 5 PM. This year, a total of 17,686 students appeared for the Class 12 board exams, which were conducted from February 10 to March 1, 2025. Students can check their results on the official website, results.gbshsegoa.net.
This year's results show a commendable overall pass percentage of 90.64%, marking a significant increase of 5% compared to last year. The results reflect the hard work and dedication of students across all streams, which includes Science, Commerce, Arts, and Vocational studies. Notably, the pass percentage for girls stands at 92.42%, while boys recorded a pass percentage of 88.69%. This disparity highlights the impressive performance of female students in the exams.
According to GBSHSE, the results were declared during a press conference held at the Conference Hall of the Directorate of Education in Porvorim, Goa. Students can access their results by visiting the official website and entering their required credentials, including seat number, school index number, and registration ID.
The distribution of students across various streams is as follows: out of the total candidates, 6,086 were from the Science stream, 5,085 from Commerce, 4,068 from Arts, and 2,447 from Vocational studies. This year also saw the participation of 138 private candidates, along with 202 students with special needs (CWSN) who took the examination.
To check their results, students should follow these steps:
- Visit the official website, www.gbshse.in or results.gbshsegoa.net.
- Click on the "HSSC Result March 2025" link available on the homepage.
- Enter the required details: Seat Number, School Index Number, Registration ID, and Captcha Code.
- Click on "Get Result" to view and download your scores.
For students who may encounter issues accessing the website due to high traffic, alternative methods such as SMS and DigiLocker are available for checking results. Students can send an SMS in the format "GOA12 SEAT NUMBER" to designated numbers for quick access to their results.
Furthermore, the consolidated result sheet will be available for download by schools starting March 29, 2025. Schools can access this through the service portal service1.gbshse.in. Only authorized school representatives will be allowed to collect physical mark sheets from the IT section of the board’s office in Porvorim. Parents and students are advised not to visit the office directly for this purpose.
The grading system for this year's results is as follows:
- 90% & above: Grade A (Outstanding)
- 80-89%: Grade B (Excellent)
- 70-79%: Grade C (Very Good)
- 60-69%: Grade D (Good)
- 50-59%: Grade E (Average)
- 40-49%: Grade F (Being Average)
- 30-39%: Grade G (Fair)
Students must secure a minimum of 33% marks in each subject, as well as overall, to pass the HSSC exams. Those who do not meet this criterion will have to appear for supplementary exams, which are expected to be held in April 2025.
