The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) has officially announced the Class 10 SSC (Secondary School Certificate) examination results today, April 7, 2025, at 5 PM. This year, a total of 18,838 students appeared for the exams, which were conducted from March 1 to March 21, 2025, across 32 designated examination centers in Goa.
According to the board, the results can be accessed on the official websites: gbshse.in and results.gbshsegoa.net. Students will need their roll number, date of birth, and seat number to view their grades. Additionally, the results will be available through the DigiLocker app and SMS services for those who may have difficulty accessing the online platforms.
In this year's examination, the pass percentage for girls stood impressively at 95.71%, while boys achieved a pass percentage of 94.98%. This reflects a slight edge for girls over boys in academic performance, continuing a trend observed in previous years.
The results were declared in the conference room of the Goa Board office in Porvorim, as confirmed by Vidhyadatta B Naik, Secretary of GBSHSE. He stated, "The consolidated result sheets will be made available to schools via our official portal starting April 9, 2025, allowing schools to download the result sheets after logging into their respective accounts." Schools will be responsible for distributing physical mark sheets to students, with a date for collection to be announced soon.
Students can also check their scores via SMS by sending the format "RESULT GOA10 ROLLNO" to 5676750 or 56263. This alternative method is particularly useful for students who may face issues accessing the online results due to high traffic on the official websites.
For the 2025 exams, the grading system remains as follows: students scoring 91% to 100% receive an A grade (Outstanding), while those scoring between 81% to 90% receive a B grade (Excellent), and so on down to the grades indicating unsatisfactory performance for scores below 21%. This grading system helps to clarify the level of achievement for each student.
Reflecting on last year's performance, in the March 2024 SSC exams, 18,914 regular candidates appeared, with a pass percentage of 92.38%. This year's results show a notable improvement in overall performance, with a general pass percentage of 95.35% for all candidates.
Students are reminded that the digital marksheets available online are only provisional. They must collect the official grade reports from their respective schools. The board has emphasized that no parents or students will be entertained directly by the Board regarding the collection of mark sheets. Instead, students are advised to communicate with their schools for any queries related to the results.
As the results are now available, students are encouraged to celebrate their achievements and reflect on their academic journey. For those who may not have met the passing criteria, there will be opportunities to appear for supplementary examinations, the schedule of which will be announced after the declaration of the results.
In conclusion, the Goa Board SSC results for 2025 highlight a successful examination cycle, with a significant number of students achieving commendable scores. As students access their results, the board looks forward to supporting them in their next academic endeavors.
