Glastonbury Festival Announces Line-Up for Acoustic Stage

As the countdown begins to Glastonbury 2025, the festival has unveiled its much-anticipated acoustic stage line-up, showcasing a diverse array of blues, folk, contemporary, and country acts.

The confirmed artists performing at the acoustic stage include notable names like Ani DiFranco, Nick Lowe, and The Bootleg Beatles, each slated to headline a day of acoustic performances throughout the festival weekend.

On March 22nd, 2025, Glastonbury Festival officials announced the acoustic stage performers, marking the beginning of a series of line-up reveals leading up to the event. “We begin our Glastonbury 2025 stage and area line-up announcements with the brilliant Acoustic Stage,” stated the festival in a social media post. The lineup’s diversity reflects Glastonbury's commitment to showcasing a variety of musical genres.

The three-day festival will take place from June 25th to June 29th at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset. This year’s headliners for the main stages have already been confirmed and will feature The 1975, Neil Young, and Olivia Rodrigo. Young initially hesitated to headline due to concerns over the festival's corporate influence but later clarified that a misunderstanding led to his agreement to perform. “Due to an error in the information received, I had decided not to play Glastonbury festival, which I always have loved,” Young explained. “Happily, the festival is now back on our itinerary and we look forward to playing! Hope to see you there!”

The festival's excitement is further heightened with Rod Stewart stepping into this year's coveted legend slot. He remarked that it would cost him approximately $300,000 to bring his entire band from America for the show, stating, “It’s going to cost me a fortune to do it... But I don’t care if it cost me $1 million, I would have done it. This is a great honour. It really is the greatest honour.”

The lineup for the acoustic stage is set to feature impressive artists across the three days. The Friday lineup (June 27) includes Ani DiFranco, The Searchers, and Billie Marten, along with several others. Saturday's showcase will see Nick Lowe, Hothouse Flowers, and a Bob Dylan tribute act called Not Completely Unknown among others. The lineup wraps up on Sunday with Roy Harper, The Bootleg Beatles, and Rhiannon Giddens headlining the final day.

Furthermore, the festival has confirmed that other performances include a range of popular acts such as Charli XCX, Loyle Carner, The Prodigy, Wolf Alice, and more, showcasing a rich tapestry of musical talent. Glastonbury continues to be a cornerstone of the UK music scene, providing a platform for both established stars and emerging artists.

Looking ahead, Glastonbury 2025 is gearing up to be a remarkable installment in its storied history. The organizers are not only revealing stages and artists but also inviting attendees to engage with the festival's vibrant atmosphere.

As anticipation builds in the months leading up to the festival, music fans are encouraged to mark their calendars to not miss out on this unique celebration of music and culture. With the acoustic stage set to deliver exceptional performances, Glastonbury is poised to honor its reputation as one of the world's most beloved music festivals.

The festival's commitment to diversity and inclusivity can be seen in its wide-ranging lineup, appealing to a broad audience. This effort is not only a celebration of music but also a reflection of contemporary cultural dynamics.

Overall, as the date approaches, Glastonbury 2025 promises excitement, nostalgia, and a renewed sense of community among music lovers from all walks of life.
