Giants Bulk Up Roster With Key Signings Ahead Of 2025 Season

Teams bolster lineups with impactful players as NFL season nears.

The New York Giants have made moves to strengthen their roster by reaching agreements with several key players as they prepare for the upcoming NFL season. Among the notable signings is outside linebacker Victor Dimukeje, who has joined the Giants on terms pending his physical.

Dimukeje, standing at 6 feet 2 inches and weighing 262 pounds, has had a solid career since being drafted by the Arizona Cardinals during the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Over the last four seasons, Dimukeje has participated in 55 games, starting eight of those, and recording impressive stats including 67 total tackles (42 solo), four sacks, 16 quarterback hits, as well as several forced fumbles and pass deflections.

His performance peaked during the 2023 season, where Dimukeje set career records by appearing in 16 games and registering all four of his career sacks. This included five tackles for loss, and eight quarterback hits, along with one forced fumble. Not only did he contribute on defense, but he was also heavily involved on special teams, playing at least 65% of special teams snaps over the past three years.

Before turning professional, Dimukeje distinguished himself at Duke University, tallying 21.5 sacks and 39 tackles for loss. His college career also featured memorable stats, such as 8.5 sacks and 10 tackles for loss as a junior, earning him second-team All-ACC honors.

Meanwhile, the Washington Commanders have signed offensive tackle Foster Sarell to a one-year contract, marking another strategic move as they revamp their offensive lineup. At 26 years of age, Sarell has spent time with the Los Angeles Chargers, where he played 11 games last season and participated significantly on special teams.

After going undrafted in 2021, Sarell initially signed with the Baltimore Ravens but was cut shortly thereafter. He had brief tenures with the Giants and then found more stability with the Chargers, even making three starts during the 2022 season. Throughout his career, he has accumulated 338 offensive snaps alongside 129 on special teams.

Another recent signing includes Landon Young, who rejoined the New Orleans Saints. Young, standing 6 feet 7 inches and weighing 321 pounds, is recognized for his versatility across the offensive line, having played various positions including guard and tackle. With four years of NFL experience and originally drafted by New Orleans, Young has appeared in 56 games with 12 starts to date.

Young's senior year at Kentucky saw him participate in 49 career games with 26 starts, including 24 consecutive starts at left tackle. He was noted for his strong leadership qualities and was recognized with several accolades for his performance at the collegiate level.

Now at 30 years old, wide receiver David Moore has returned to the Carolina Panthers on another one-year deal as part of their efforts to bolster their receiving corps. Moore's return is seen as beneficial due to his previous connection with coach Dave Canales, having played under him during his time with Seattle and Tampa Bay.

Last season, Moore's contributions included 32 catches for 351 yards and three touchdowns during what was his full year with the Panthers. His career average of 14.0 yards per reception highlights his effectiveness and ability to stretch the field.

Moore, initially drafted as a seventh-round pick in 2017, briefly joined the Panthers' roster during the 2021 offseason before being released during the preseason. His reliability as a contributor on special teams and playmaking ability downfield make him a valuable addition.

Further bolstering defensive depth, the Rams signed Nate Landman, who previously spent three seasons with the Atlanta Falcons. The 26-year-old linebacker has made significant strides during his time at Atlanta, amassing 192 total tackles, three sacks, and numerous forced fumbles and interceptions.

Landman shone during the 2023 season, where he accumulated 110 total tackles, alongside two sacks and multiple defensive plays, which firmly established his reputation as a solid player. His entry to the NFL came as an undrafted free agent from Colorado, demonstrating resilience and dedication throughout his early career.

These moves by teams are part of the strategic adjustments as organizations aim for success heading toward the 2025 NFL season. With talented players like Dimukeje, Sarell, Young, Moore, and Landman coming aboard, fans eagerly anticipate the coaching decisions and on-field chemistry as the new season approaches.
