GialappaShow Returns With New Cast Member Carlo Amleto

The comedy program features music, parodies, and fresh talent for its fifth episode.

The GialappaShow, a beloved comedy program in Italy, is set to return on May 5, 2025, bringing a fresh wave of humor and entertainment to its viewers. This season marks the fifth installment of the show, which will air at 21:30 on TV8, also available in simulcast on Sky and streaming via NOW.

At the helm of this episode is the iconic Mago Forest, who will be leading the show without a co-host for the first time in its history. However, the ever-popular Gialappa’s Band, consisting of Marco Santin and Giorgio Gherarducci, will continue to provide their signature commentary throughout the episode, ensuring that fans are treated to their unique brand of humor.

One of the most exciting highlights of this episode is the debut of Carlo Amleto Giammusso in the cast. Born on May 21, 1993, in the province of Caltanissetta, Amleto has made a name for himself as a musician, actor, and comedian. He studied at the European Union Academy of Theatre and Cinema (EUTHECA) in Rome from 2012 to 2014 and completed his training at the Civica Scuola di Teatro Paolo Grassi in Milan in 2017. His career has seen him participate in various theatrical productions, including a notable role in a 2018 rewrite of Shakespeare in Love directed by Giampiero Solari.

Amleto's transition to television began in 2020 with his role in Giovanni Veronesi's feature film Tutti per 1 – 1 per tutti, followed by his debut on the small screen in the Canale 5 fiction Viola con il mare in 2022. His big break came later that year when he joined the cast of Zelig, where he showcased his musical talents through comedic sketches. In a recent interview, he shared, "Practically, I had thrown in the towel. Then I was called to Zelig. I had been performing for some time at the venue in Viale Monza, and Giancarlo Bozzo asked me to bring my TG Zero. At the same time, by a strange coincidence, Stefano De Martino—who is a wonderful person, a bit like my Pippo Baudo—saw me on social media and asked me to participate in Bar Stella. Suddenly, I was on two different channels at the same time!"

In addition to Amleto, Max Giusti will also make an appearance, performing a parody of the famous Italian singer Renato Zero. Giusti is known for his comedic impersonations, having previously portrayed other notable figures such as Aurelio De Laurentiis and Alessandro Borghese.

The musical segment of the show will feature the Neri per Caso, who will perform a series of lively numbers. Their set list includes “Tutta l’Italia” by Gabry Ponte, a hit from the Sanremo Festival, a duet with Gaia, and a rendition of “Libertango” by Grace Jones, featuring Alessandro D’Alessandro on the organetto. They will also perform unique versions of “Jump” by Van Halen and “I Shot the Sheriff” by Bob Marley, showcasing their versatility and musical talent.

As always, the Gialappa’s Band will provide commentary on various subjects, including the absurdities of Italian television programs, viral trends on the internet, and international soccer matches. This segment has become a hallmark of the show, celebrated for its sharp wit and humorous insights.

Viewers can also look forward to the return of the popular segment Sensualità a corte, featuring characters Madre and Jean Claude, played by Simona Garbarino and Marcello Cesena, respectively. This segment promises to deliver more of the quirky humor that fans have come to love.

The previous episode, which aired on April 28, 2025, attracted over 880,000 viewers on TV8, achieving a share of 4.5%. This strong performance indicates that the GialappaShow continues to resonate with audiences, maintaining its status as a staple of Italian comedy.

Additionally, the Gialappa’s Night, which features extended commentary and additional content, will return on May 6, 2025, following the live broadcast of the Inter vs. Barcelona match, also airing on TV8. This special segment allows fans to further engage with the show and its hosts in a relaxed and humorous setting.

In summary, the GialappaShow is poised to deliver another memorable evening of laughter and entertainment on May 5, 2025. With the introduction of Carlo Amleto, the comedic talent of Max Giusti, and the musical performances by the Neri per Caso, viewers can expect a night filled with surprises, laughter, and the signature style of the Gialappa’s Band.
